My, isn't funny how CCP marketing advertises EVE?

Look at this promotion

Let's analyze this offer, shall we?

- Buy a subscription & you get a "cool" ship
- Those ships are actually T1 frigates with no different stats than their T1 counterparts
- Anyway, they have a higher ingame market price
- And of course, they look nice in any killmail, just for the "rare" value

So, let's say you're a new player... you get this cool ship, but it's a T1 frigate, and you don't know how to use it. You're going to lose it quickly to NPCs or PvP. Later, you may notice that you should had sold the ship, as their price is a nice startup money for every new player... but it will be gone already.

Now, let's say that you're a returning player... you will just sell the ship before they devaluate and conduct business with the money.

What you're not getting, in no way, is what the advertising makes you think that you're getting: a cool ship. EVE is not a pay-to-win game and "cool" ships don't exist, they're just a fancy reskin with T1 stats and are useful only as money windfall or killmail padding for other players.

So, what is selling the EVE marketing team?

Not the real game, I tell you. And neither what unaware noobs may think that they're buying...
