How about you stick with a corporation once you join it? There wont be a single corp out there that will fit your playstyle 100%, you have to adapt. It sounds to me like you joined a FW corp and left it without even undocking . . .

It's called patients, you need it to play this game.

I just want to stop this thread right here. It's called patience. Patient patients have patience while they wait for the doctor.

eve isn't instant success at anything.
everything needs research from income streams to fitting to tactics to corps.
Having said that there are a ton of decent corps out there that are happy to help newbros with advice and experiance.
a year ago i was in your shoes and now i have over 200 bill of kills under my feet and am part of the leadership of a 7 year old corp leading a null sec alliance (not an important one or one that anyone cares about). i am on speaking terms with several famous scammers, on good terms with the fine folk at minerbumping as well as several noteworthy forum posters.
eve is not wow. spending time grinding helps to only a tiny extent.
passive income is the holy grail.
intel /scouting is more important than mashing buttons in the correct order.
once you get a handle on the game in 10-15 years time it will have ruined all other games for you.
I have mastered industry, exploration , missioning and incursions so far. my main game time is spent on small gang pvp and i still suck at it. i do a lot of market stuff but i realise most of it is still over my head. as is the rest of eve. i am well above average IQ and most things in this intellect dominated game i still aspire to adequate.
i have made several guides to isk making. feel free to mail me in game for copies.
If you have pvp goals then i most likely have contacts that can help with that. again mail me with details of what you are looking for. Please be aware that eve PVP covers a huge spectrum of activity and telling me you just want to pewpew will result in no response. as always some basic research is needed.

Research some t1 frigate fits for PvP.
Buy the hulls and gear to fit 50-100 of them.
Get a headset.
Join RvB (red fed, best fed)
Join fleets, fight and die.
Listen, ask questions, and take part.
When you lose all your ships, make a decision about eve.

get out there and just do stuff. The game probably has more to do than you even realized yet. Sitting in station or popping a few tutorial rats is not the game.

I fear that what the OP is missing is known as "quick gratification".

A little research would reveal that the SP system is not as heavily weighted against new players as it appears.

A little research.....

This is the best advice here. High sec and all its obtuse rules and regulations for pvp is terrible. Join a new player friendly 0.0 corp. They do exist.

Can't anybody do anything for themselves any more? Everybody wants fun handed to them to them on a silver platter.

Go out there and shoot people... PVP corps with SP limit will take on people with less SP if they have showed some ability to PVP. PVP is not dependant on SP but more on attitude and ability. SP Limits are there to keep the chancer away. In your case it worked.

Before RvB came along, I would have pointed a new player to Eve Uni. But now I don't recommend either one for a new player interested in PVP. Now I suggest Brave Newbies https://bravenewbies.net/wp/.

Those two Corps (not guilds) will be a good fit for getting you more involved in the game and teaching you the way of EVE... long, but fruitful.

Op, you think yourself worthy of joining an experienced corp before finishing the tutorial and buying a PLEX for in-game cash.

I almost feel sorry for your effort.

This is game of patience. This is not WoW. This is game thats hard to master and even harder to win. But thats what draws us longtime players here again and again. We are free to set our own goals and measure our success how ever we like.

Lots of fun in mmo comes out of playing with others. The very nature of EvEonline is encourage team play. Got wardecked? its more fun to fight with friends. Going mining? Fleet support can improve your yield ans cycle time of mining lasers. Live in nullsec? Team play is almost mandatory to long term living there...

I wont comment on your corp history. Just seems little short tempered. This game is about what you want to do here in long run. Find corporation that alligns mostly to those goals. As others have pointed out, no corp will fit 100% to your goals.

This is massive online simulation of life in far far away galaxy, where even laws of nature are still in motion of changeing. What works today, might work differently tomorrow.

If you are new to this game. Give a serious tought of joining one of those well known new player friendly organisations. Learning cliff is steep, even now when CCP has tryed to flat it out a bit.

1) Hang out in the character bazaar forum
2) Buy a "bitter vet" character
3) Sit in station
4) Start another "I'm not happy" thread in GD (troll haven)

There is a corp forum here, they actively recruit. Filtering random corps in-game is somewhat pointless as not every corp is recruiting all the time. Lots are though...

I haven't read any other replies (It's early and haven't gotten my first coffee yet) but I'll just sum up my initial reactions:

- you don't have to grind, there's various ways of making isk . Some are semi passive on an alt, others require you to be active but don't necessarily feel like grind

- you using a plex and "cheating your way past the initial game play" doesn't help, because it robs you of any personal milestones which help you get into the game proper (your first mil isk, your first cool new ship)

- EVE is very DIFFERENT from other MMOs, yes it can be a hairy adrenaline rush but at the same time it's also a more slowed down kind of game. Other MMOs you can go "lol, lets kill some spiders yo, and where's the lvl 10 battlegrounds?", EVE forces you to do silly things like reading, learning and putting in effort. It's a different pace and you'll have to get used to it

- most people are terrible and that means most corps are terrible too and the ones that aren't simply have learned that, most people being terrible, active/bright/inquisitive newbies probably aren't newbies at all. So they're weary of newbies who act too enthusiastic compared to the average, sounds silly and backwards but in EVE there's a valid reason for their attitude

- don't rush, slow down, take your time. EVE isn't for ADHD folks (not saying you are)

There are entities out there who cater to a more "instant action" kind of playing, most notably Brave Newbies. Go give them a look. There's also Red vs Blue (RvB), they do something similar but at the same time it's quite different, give that one a good look as well. Joining either will help you get ahead in the game and get into it.

Don't rush, slow down, take your time. EVE is one of those elusive and rare games you might be playing for the next 10 years, pace yourself and give it time to get you addicted. There's no reason dismiss or get discouraged by it in the first few weeks just because you haven't adapted yet or it's not going as you hoped or planned (which is normal and will take time), just let it happen :)

Oh wow, I was wondering about the tone of this thread. It got moved from somewhere else, now it all makes sense.

OP,

Ya, you're missing something. You seem to get discouraged too easy. EVE might not be the game for you, since it is, in many ways, a game about rising up from the ashes of defeat. But if you decide to stick it out, then there are things you can do.

First, you have to play. Being offline doing skill queue sucks. I've been having connection issues lately when I try to play eve. It burns anyone out pretty fast.

Second, You have to get over your fear of dying. In the OP, you saw the warning message and panicked. A lot of pvp is psychological. So,keeping a cool head while your ship is flaming around you is critical. Historically, the best way to get over dying, is to go die a lot. So make a bunch of really cheap fitted ships and run into ls or null and pick fights with anyone, whether you think you can win or not. Try to learn from these fights, and do the very best you can, maybe ask for after action critiques from the people you attack, or who attack you. But mainly, accepting defeat from the start allows you to fight at your very best.

Third, consistency is gold in Eve. You learn more sticking through troubles than you will cutting out, so if you run into a problem, see it as a challenge, something to enhance your game experience, not something to evade.

Yeah as a combat pilot, you need to get over your fear. In a billion isk mission runner ship, I can understand the caution. But all frigs are dirt cheap, and the rookie ship you started in gets replaced for free. Now is when you take stupid risks, it wont set you back anything. Later you can faceplant your keyboard all you want, but no reason to yet.
