Eveeye Maps
is a 2D interactive and customizable map system which got released in an alpha version to gather feedback on more features to come.

Minmatar vs Amarr
Caldari vs Gallente

Alpha Version
This means that there will be bugs and that some things might behave strange or do not work at all. That said it should work very well for basic map viewing and own location tracking ingame and out-of-game.

Ingame Usage
EEm interactive map system is used ingame via an installable version (windows only for now, sry)
which can be downloaded here.
View this screenshot of the draggable and resizable app on how it looks in game. Basically it is an always-on-top window you can integrate within your Eve UI.

Bugs & Feedback
Out-of-game at bottom right there is a blue bubble which can be used to report bugs or send suggestions.

Some feedback:

-Performance, the thing lags (when zooming) on my relatively good computer. Optimize it, make it faster.
-Load a default map or at least something to fill the screen.
-I want to see or be able to toggle a legend to make sense of what everything means on your map.
-Nice project, but if you're not going to outdo Dotlan, why bother?

Not bad. Flip "up" with "down" and "left" with "right".

Villore should be lower right side of the Gallente map.

Tru dat, dotlan layout is clean, you can tell which systems have a station just from a cursory glance, and there's the option to download as PDF to reference when the site's inaccessible.

I'm curious about "features to come" and whether there is any potential for a niche use that would actually be practical.

Looks good but not sure if there is enough differentiation from dotlan to warrant using it instead. Remember that 'good enough and fast' will usually win out in tech applications.

Perhaps add a 'Route to...' navigation aid in the right-click context menu?
