What is the bomb damage calculation formula?

I can't find one. Some people have claimed that bomb damage is calculated the same way as missiles, but bombs have no damage reduction factor attached to them. I would really appreciate any information.

I'll take a wild guess: bomb damage = base damage * MIN(1, target sig/expl. radius) which is very similar to missile formula but without speed part.

Thats my guess too, but I was hoping someone actually had researched this.
