dont nerf drone assist! nerf carriers!

I have been thinking about how the CSM wants to nerf drone assist because the mechanic is flawed in their opinion.

For carriers i would say yes it is for sub caps i would say are you nuts!?!?!?

Carriers are a special thing, they have gigantic drone bays and huge corp hangars... which give them an endless supply of drones... that with the huge EHP and RR makes the ship OP.

First I thought well just make a separate drone bay and fighter bay... but that will not solve anything because the carriers will just fill up the CHA with sentries.

so what is the solution?

will they do something silly like remove drone assist all together and **** off allot of people who don’t use slowcats but use drone assist daily for missions and small scale pvp? I sure hope not.

For me Sub cap drone assist is balanced. Sub cap ships are limited in drone bay size and are somewhat squishy.

The only logical solution is to remove the drone bay all together from carriers. kill them with fire.

Carriers have a special drone called fighters. that is what they are supposed to use.

the best thing is fighters cannot be set to assist only to assign.

But MeBiatch does this mean no more sentry carriers?

not at all! What it means is we need a new sentry fighter!!! a new class of fighter that acts half sentry half fighter.

that way you no longer have a infinite amount of sentries that a carrier can field and since the sentry fighters are the size of regular fighters they can be eliminated by shooting them.

You realize that a carriers fleet and cargo hold is almost always filled with spare modules or fuel right? Not drones. I honestly can even believe that this is a thing right now.

I think there should be drone assist and advanced drone assist skills. Each level allows you to take control of one other drone. Or if you like, 5 x level, whatever.

Is it unlimited at the moment? I've often given my drones to drone droid in gang, but I've never received them.

Oh, drone assist is a problem too, but the bigger one is having a BS sized weapons system on a capital hull....

Drone assist is a weird thing. Why is it the only weapons system that can be assisted? Drones are a completely normal weapons system like any other, so why can't I set my lasers to assist, too?
Why are we allowed to assist dps drones but not repair drones?

Yes, you can have 2500 drones assisted to you.
