Tooltip error in Guided Missile Precision?

The skill states

> 5% decrease per level in factor of signature radius for all missile explosions.

Yet my research indicates that unguided missiles(like bombs) are not affected. Is this just a tooltip error in the skill then?

Bombs are not missiles. None of the missile support skills, nor modules, nor rigs, nor boosters, nor implants, affect bombs. They are a category unto themselves; the bombs skill appears under missile skills because bombs use a launcher (that doesn't use a missile launcher hardpoint), and they have even less in common with turrets.

Unguided missiles are: rockets, heavy assault missiles (HAM), torpedoes, citadel torpedoes.
Guided missiles are: light missiles, heavy missiles, cruise missiles, citadel cruise missiles.

Previously guided and unguided were treated differently by skills and rigs, but this is no longer the case, and hence the skills show "all missiles" now.

Note that the "unguided missiles" in that list are actually guided. Their guidance is just inferior to that of guided missiles.

Unguided missiles are the short-range versions.
Guided missiles are the long-range versions.

The only true unguided weapons are bombs. You aim manually, fire, watch them fly straight for some seconds, then BOOM. Whether they hit or not depends entirely on your aim and timing.

When I finally do make an impact on this universe, it will reverberate across the entirety of it, and no one will be able to truthfully claim they don't know me. - -

Until then, I'll just sit quietly over here, minding my own business...
