You know, ex-EVE Radio guy who did Desert Asteroid Disks, who then went on to set up EVE TV before becoming Winterblink's sidekick for the Warp Drive Active podcast? Yeah, the guy that slept in a hotel lobby for most of Fanfest 2007.

Well I've tracked him down (not hard tbh) and asked him about his EVE career and what's been going on since, which I will be writing up for another instalment of "MIA" in the next issue. Readers will know that we like to put some nice words from players underneath to try and tempt the wayward back to the game, so if you have some recollections of Urb', please add them below.

Cheers

He was really hairy at the 2005 Pontefract party so we had Oveur hold him down while we waxed him. I'll try and dig the video out for those people who enjoy watching Deliverance style man abuse.

I remember listening to his caustic wit and dry humour on Warp Drive Active. I think Urban and Winterblink formed a pretty cool team - a double act if you will. A bit like Mork and Mindy. Big smile

Shame he's gone. Cry

Ah Urban my old friend and colleage on the WDA network.

I recall meeting him and John Rourke in Norwich to talk about Clear Skies, EVE and all things geeky a good evenings entertainment.

I wonder if his offer to lend me a power station (he worked in one) in order to film a live action EVE fanvid is still open?

Nice to see you back too Zap! Cool

I remember him from WDA. Favorite moment was when he dropped his new I-pod in the crapper coining the phrase I-poo.

I think he's working with battleships now (the sea-going variety). Might make an interesting set as well.
