Rubicon breaks Mumble overlay

Windows 7 64-bit, Mumble 1.2.4, overlay was working pre-Rubicon in DX11 mode.
Post-Rubicon, the overlay doesn't work unless you switch Eve to DX9 from the launcher.

Are we waiting for Mumble to patch this or CCP?

Unfortunately Mumble is out of our control and not officially supported by EVE so you should raise it with them.

That said, we realize many players use Mumble so we'll see what we can do (without making any promises).

If I'm not wrong even if your computer is DX11 capable pre-rubicon EVE always ran in DX9, however I'm pretty sure it's a known issue on the Mumble bugtracker: mumble overlay doesn't support DX11 yet.

Mumble has been working with DX11 for a year now, however you need to download this Nyetwurk version from here:

https://github.com/nyetwurk/mumble/downloads

Obviously if you're worried about security or whatever then don't download it, but I can confirm it does provide overlay with Rubicon, because I use it myself.

Bump! I can confirm that what Alaxen said fixed it for me. Mumble just needs to update their stuff, until then this will be OK I guess :).

Personally I will wait for Mumble to come out with an official patch. They said they are working on it and it will be a few months to get something out.

If you can live with it, just deal but if not then you can attempt the fix if you are willing to take a risk. Everything comes with risk.

Mumble overlay works fine on dx9 for me. Just use dx9.

mumble 1.2.3 had its functionality broken today and 1.2.4 still has the issues with the overlay causing the mic to stick open or simply not work, this is with EVE running in DX9. At this point I do not believe the mumble dev team are making any effort to resolve this issue as there is no support threads on their forums about an issue that has been going on for 9 months.
