Hello peeps!
Below you'll find my lil' Astero's fit.
Designed for High-Sec and ocassionally sneaky Low-Sec data and ghost sites exploration (by ghost-site exploration I mean get in scan a shard loot it and get out., nothing fancy). Can't really afford a Stratios for the moment.
Would really love to hear your opinions on it.

Seems like a really expensive ship for HS hacking. I guess I could see using it for low sec hacking, where you might need to defendyyourself but that still seems like a bad idea. Why not fit for combat and do DED's and low sec escelations?

Not to be a party pooper or anything but any cov ops will do the job better in either high sec or low sec. Then again it is a sexy, sexy ship so... carry on

You will explode in a ghost site. Maybe not the first one you do, but it will happen. EDIT: ESPECIALLY in hisec, where the chances that someone else has started the timer before you arrived are decently high.

Also, the lack of a single DDA might be a problem with some of the 4/10s.

The sexiness cannot be questioned!

I'm still trying to prove to myself that you can make a good living from exploration (plus it's what I like to do so why not do it in style).
I will eventually get enough ISKies to grab a Stratios and then will dedicate to Low-Sec or Null a bit more. But at the current moment I don't have the skills or the mechanics to survive even a Low-Sec interceptor it seems (see my last loss).
[not to mention that this was a Caldari pilot attacking me, another Caldari pilot in a Caldari FW zone while I was doing a data site - the sheer "i haz to kill shipz" mentality of people in this game amazes me every time] Pretty sure a better pilot than me would have been able to either kill him or escape - I was able to die in a ball of flame...so yeah I'm really terribad at fighting dudez. Anyways props to him (I guess this is what HE likes to do) and hold no grudges against it.
Pulled out the shrapnel bits lodged in my capsule and got back in it!

As far as I've been able to approximate there's a 120 seconds timer on most GSs - so stumbling on a triggered one is highly unlikely. Warping to a triggered one usually landed me in empty space pocket. You have to like warp to it seconds after the first guy, so I guess you will kinda still see him in - which would warrant a emergency GTFO warp.
Not to mention, as far as I can tell - warping to it cloacked does not start the counter.
I exploded 2 times - once because I had no clue the rats were THAT powerful and the second time because I thought I could hack a another shard...greed is not good.
Usually I just go in one , scan the shards, loot the most valuable one and GTFO as fast as possible. I got some nifty ISK from a couple of looted Ascendency implants...

I guess good living is subjective but I do alright. Just in T1 explorers at the moment but have made about a billion in the last month just hitting relic/data sites. (just bought my second PLEX)


I am looking at one of these as I don't have the skills for cov ops frigate. It is a large chunk of change though. I am making money, but as a new pilot, I am still leery of flying something so expensive.

I like the scan strength and virus strength bonuses but not sure if the extra oomph is worth the money. I guess I will see where the price ends up as it is slowly going down.
