About to join FW

Hello all,

I'm about to join FW. I'm an Amarr pilot, and for now that's how I'd like to stay. Eventually I'd like to fly all races, but I'm sticking to Amarr for now.

Looking at the current situation between Amarr and Minmatar it's clear that Minmatar is WAY ahead. I'm not a bandwagon person myself, but as a beginner I don't want to jump into insurmountable odds right from the gate.

My question, then, is should I stick with Amarr faction? (I'm pretty sure I can join any faction, right?)

Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

I think the situation is completely hopeless for the Amarr. It's so bad that the main Amarr alliance (Fweddit) has redeployed to Gallente space in anticipation of their home system Egglehende being conquered.

We fight for Amarr and this kind of thing is cyclical. One faction will dominate for a while and then it will reverse itself as all of the farmers switch sides. Right now there are war targets aplenty if you are Amarr!

It's temporary. The warzone flips every month or two.

Just join with a PvP corp and PvP without fear.

How did you Veterans start?

Dont worry tides will change just pick a side u like more.. Alltho i cant recommend gallente cause they generally awoxers or otherwise just dicks.. Also carebearing sux bit due the rats u would be facing...

Pick a faction and be loyal. You will get more respect and possibly a name for yourself that way instead of being labeled as a dirty farmer leeching off of the empires.

Amarr Pilot best Pilot

Amarr Militia Best Militia

Anyway, **** aside, the warzone control you see does not have as much baring on PvP as you may first think.

View warzone control bars as 2 things,
-Number of lowsec warzone stations you can dock in.
-Number of Farmers in each militia

High warzone contorl = lots of farmers
Low warzone control = no farmers

All militia will have their dedicated PvPers that stay for years on end through all the ups and downs.

I first joined amarr militia over 2 years ago when we were at less than 2%. I have dropped in and out of FW from time to time dabbling in WHs but always come back to Amarr. I enjoy the underdog element when we are low tier anyway.

As for the people, there are cool people in every militia, Amarr, Caldari, Gallente and Minmatar. And douchebags in them all aswell.

At the end of the day, join amarr, fire lasers at pigs and get super heated bacon.

Thanks a lot for the replies guys, much appreciated.

In about an hour my roles will be dropped and I will enlist in the services of the Amarr empire!

I can't wait to lose my 100th ship! It'll be a glorious milestone in a hopefully long and fulfilling career.

you made the right choice!

welcome to the warzone.

don't be discourage about getting ganked and losing ships.

don't fly anything flashy or anything you don't mind losing 10-100 times P

you can in-game mail most people in Amarr and you'll get a helpful response if you have any questions, myself included.

Always assume it will not be a fair fight and when you get one be happy. Never assume someone you fight or comes to fight you is looking for a fair fight and do not get upset when blobbed, people play to win.

Amarr had complete dominance of FW. IWHIP redeployed to 0.0 as there was not a fight to be had. Minmatar took the opportunity to fight back FINALLY.

IWHIP will return and Amarr will be back in T4. Your "victory" is a result of our boredom with you, nothing more.
