So when do the devs come back from winter break? Because we're still waiting to hear on the Blink thing. And the CSM summer summit minutes thing. And the feedback on the proposed stats on the Nestor. And on numerous bugs that were introduced with Rubicon but haven't yet been fixed.

*DON'T* blink! You haven't listened to a DAMN thing the Doctor told you about the Angels, have you?!

Not really, they were never all that scary and Smith wasn't a very good Doctor anyway.

Smith would have been a good Doctor, if he hadn't been written by Steve Moffat.
Look at the episodes where Neil Gaiman took up the pen. Freaking brilliant.

Besides.... we've got Capaldi, now. Hopefully, we'll get back to a more mature show, like we had in the classic series.

Pish and tish. I just wish the writers hadn't been absolute dicks to Eccleston.

I don't care about the tweens. :p
If Tom Baker and Sylvester McCoy aren't in someone's vocabulary, they're not real Who fans, as far as I'm concerned.

Eccleston got completely screwed. And in screwing Eccleston, they also completely screwed the fans. He could have rivaled the classic Doctors if they'd only given him more time.

Mr McCoy was a horrible Dr Who, however Ace would get a bang any time she wanted from me :P Although maybe not now...

I started watching Doctor Who while he was still on the show. Tom Baker is my favorite, but McCoy was my Doctor. Hell, I named my daughter after the actress who played Ace (it was really the part when she beat the brakes off a Dalek with her baseball bat that solidified her as "awesome forever").
I notice a few classic Whovians didn't like him for the same reason they didn't like Six, either... it's just difficult to wrap your brain around an "evil alignment" Doctor... and McCoy's portrayal certainly qualifies as "Lawful Evil".

Many people in the civilized world (that means places other than like Afghanistan, the South Sudan, and the u.s), are given significant time off for the holidays. I believe Iceland is such a civilized country.

They will be back when they are back.
Not that it really matters.

But but... MURRICA!!

we work twice as much during the holidays.... X

i dont know but adding the info 15 minutes later after the patch and telling players that they are blind in the forums doesn't bring gratification to me and others looking for information of what i have to be informed beforehand for a patch.

You said that a whole lot nicer then I would have/

@Falcon: I did look before posting this thread and NOTHING was listed. Coming in here and making snide, demeaning comments about my vision is plain wrong. I AM visually imapired I and i DO take offense in your comments. My vision has NOTHING to do with the fact you guys didn't post any info about the patch until AFTER I made this thread. Making derrogatory and insulting comments about players with visual handicaps who point out your shortcomings is beyond sad and I really would have expected better then that from you.

Are you sure it wasn't just an issue with your browser cache? Or maybe he was trying to be sarcastic and that just failed to deliver well on the post? Just other possibilities to consider before assuming asshattery.

You guys seriously need to stop crying over lack of patch notes. If there's a patch, and there's no notes, it's usually because it's some **** that has absolutely no effect on anyone.

Good lord there are way too many tears on this forum over nothing. Seems nothing CCP can do, even giving out gifts, will be met with anything other than a whole bunch of "waah! I HATE YOU CCP" posts.

I think CCP should patch in a skill called HTFU, with level 5 required on every ship except the rookie ship, and they should leave it out of the patch notes.

I would certainly agree that there is constant complaining about everything that happens, or doesn't happen.

However, if you don't understand why a lack of patch notes is important I'd suggest you ask anyone that has worked as a programmer what they they think about a company that releases patches with no documentation.

I'm beginning to doubt if there was one, TBH.

Being a scripted event it is likely it was just "blowed up real good" by whatever GM/Dev was running the event.

It's all good, I'm half deaf with crap eyesight in one eye, so I know dem feels. Smile

In the end, if there's anything of actual value or interest to players, or anything that's going to change gameplay, then it'll be communicated well in advance via patch notes.

If we're simply doing backend performance changes, or fixing something that was broken, and that we had already announced would be patched on the 30th, then patch notes aren't a massive priority, especially when the vast majority of our staff are at home with their families over Christmas and New Year.
