What's up with these MTUs....

Every time I'm full of cargo and can't scoop the MTU, I jettison a can to make space but the can merges with the MTU. Oh btw I can't transfer loot back to the MTU.

So the issue here is I have to jettison more than 100m3 first time round if not I have to wait (2 minutes i think) in order to make another can. Hope that was clear.

Is this intended, and for what reason?

-jet 100m3 to grab the MTU...
-let MTU grab it
-scoop MTU
-grab w/e loot you wann keep from resulting can

I don't see the problem...

Edit: if your cargo is not in compact mode you can see how much m3 you have selected. If you put it in a list mode you can sort be volume to find the largest items to jet out.

Jetting 100m3 is just guess work, if you fail, you need to jettison again and wait 2 minutes to jet again. Who can calculate 100m3 on the fly?

I don't see why the jet can needs to merge with the MTU.

See my edit, it's easy to jet 100m3.

It has to because it grabs all lootables. It's a pretty simple concept and doing anything more than that will make it into some weird special cases.

Ok thanks, that should work, I'll try that out next time.

I would appreciate if i could transfer loot back to MTU though it's much easier.

Jettison everything (ctrl-A right click jettison). Let the MTU loot it. Scoop the MTU. Loot the remaining can that is formed and take only the stuff you want/need. Seriously I don't know what you're complaining about. Go back to the old system if this is too complicated for you or it bothers you. Programming the MTU to recognize all cans except for that can there that I just made would be a royal pain in the ass. I wouldn't want to code it, and I can't see CCP doing it either.

More to the point ,there really is not need to jettison if I could drop loot back to MTU, but I guess that's too hard to code.

My thoughts exactly

CODE is just a bunch of pirates; smart, organized pirates. It doesn't help to rage at them because that is exactly what they want. Dust yourself off and get back on your feet, you don't even have to talk to them.

Not seeing a problem with the MTU. The convenience of having the loot picked up by it outweighs the problem you are having.

Anyone else think the first and second guy in the thread look alike? They really look like they are related. Thought the guy was responding to his own thread with some weird multiple personality alt argument thing.
