Hello!
Im maybe a week old, getting the basic skills up to L3/L4. I have been reading new player guides so I feel pretty good about my skill path. Im interested in becoming a low sec pirate or going into FW. I will be looking for a corp to join once I make up my mind as to what direction I want to go. Before that though I need to figure out how to keep the isk coming in while im out learning to pew pew!

I only have 1 account (an alt char really isn't an option right now)
currently running L2 security missions for isk
FW LP is the way to make isk for FW's ive been told, but im gallente and when I look at the war screen, gallente = 50% reduction in LP gains Cry

Im worried as such a new player once I get into fighting I will have very little options for making isk and eventually find myself stuck with nothing but a **** filled pod.

Any suggestions for isk making or good corps would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Zagg

There are a number of good ways to make ISK in lowsec. Exploration is a favorite. Another thing you can do is belt ratting in .1 and .2 sec systems...There are clone soldier recruiter rats that drop valuable tags, and they're fairly common now. Technically you can do the same thing in .3 and .4, but they're worth far less.

And then of course FW; even with the 50% reduction, FW LP is easy to come by

FW is one way to make isk. I'm not terribly familiar with how it works, but it seems to have something to do with sitting around in plexes in warp stabbed ships and running away with your tail between your legs when anybody else shows up, meanwhile somehow collecting LP. It is worth noting that you can join any of the factions - you are not limited by your character race.

I can think of a few other great ways to make isk. Ninja baiting is a newbie friendly form of highsec piracy that can make you spacerich pretty fast if you are focused on it. Scamming is another one - trick idiots into giving you money. It takes patience but can pay off big. Joining highsec corporations to steal from them and hold their valuable ships for ransom is also quite lucrative.

Feel free to contact me in game if you want to know more about those sorts of things.

FW does not mean warp stabbs, well maybe for CalMil. Your best bet if you want to make decent ISK even with your low SP I would say go Gallente FW. Lots of friendly corps and it's mainly frigates. Even someone in a derptron can be extremely helpful in a small gang roam. And can give you some valuable insight on PVP mechanics.

No offense. But all 4 FW sides are filled with warp-stabbed-frigates. Keep your pro-Gallente-FW propeganda in another forum part, it doesn't belong in NCQA

Thanks, I needed that laugh.

OP, as Gallente you should have positive starting standings with the Minmatar as well, so you can join the Minmatar republic if you wish. They are doing better than the Gallente are right now.
