And yes, for whatever reason, "liking" does seem to attract people to comment further on a thread that the rest of the world had happily forgotten about :)

Botting is only bad if you do not "benefit" from someone botting. Got it.
Oh, and this year we also have an alt who does exactly the same.

I have to admit, I really hate having my notifications spammed by some bot. It makes it impossible to follow thread updates on threads I actually care about.

This makes me wonder. I got notifications for two or three likes of her, but that's it. Are you certain that the system actually sends you a notification for each and every Like in such cases?

It annoys me. Sometimes I use my likes to keep track of threads. (Is there another feature I've missed that allows me to do so?)

Latest posts on your profile page, perhaps, plus you can subscribe to threads without posting there.
