Rust - Rooks and Kings Server

What is Rust?

- In a way it's 'another' Zombie survival game, the latest offspring of the DayZ meets Minecraft romance. However, it's beautifully polished for an Alpha and might be the most functional incarnation of the format to be created thus far.

- You get to camp naked with your friends [slightly NSFW link, very mild animated nudity]. Agent Xer0 makes the best sausages.

- Run in convoys with your friends and admire the surprisingly masculine posterior of your female corpmates. [slightly NSFW link, very mild animated nudity]

- Build fortresses, and ponder the fate of those below.

- Defend them with an assortment of machine guns, shotguns, bows, explosives, etc. all built through an excellent and intuitive crafting system.


- Anyone and everyone is welcome to join us (or preferably, take C4 to our works) this holiday season on Rust. Theyu is running the server and can usually help if there are problems - just ask in chat.

BF4 is still the main order of non-Eve business but Rust provides a very fun environment after a glass of Port too many.


The technical details:

Servername: RnK Official Rust Server [EU]

EU based server
Sleepers ON (By which we mean that you actually sleep when offline; there are no Wormhole Sleepers, even in the furthest corners of the map)
PvP ON (obviously)
Anticheat ON (Natch, as Amiga Power would have said)
Daily server restart @ 09.00 GMT
Active admins


- To connect directly without using the server browser:

1) Press F1 in the menu, to bring up console.
2) Paste "net.connect 84.200.193.116:28000" without the speech marks. No / or \ needed either.

slight modifications has been applied to the Rookery. :) but alas, moat and raise bridge aren't in the game yet. :sadrustie: neither is partrol helicopter, but that's being worked on!!

Few games create so many "Man, you should have been there." moments as Rust does (though as EVE players we're already spoilt in that area). If you've a few bob spare it's worth the money to form a tribe of friends and stick your flag in a patch of dirt (or other players).

In fact, we double dare you :p

Server is 7 days old today. And we have aproximately 30-50 online at all times.

EDIT: I seems that the Steam Master Server is down, which is the issue.

I just got myself Rust and remembered this thread. Been playing for an hour now trying to get used to it (killed 3 people with my Rock of Destiny!), are there any comprehensive guides you'd recommend?
