Well thanks. I liked the calendar and to see CCP people dress up and look good. That was funny.

However the gifts..... well. I would have liked to see more extra-ordinary stuff. Maybe more personal (according to skillset) or age of character.

Maybe you remind yourself of the promissed officers club at some point. Or give us snow ball fighting in station.

Well at some point we also need to be understanding of the stresses that CCP seems to be under. While we can and too many are, demanding of features that take time and money to develop... for a hand out event, it was kinda fun. The stuff given out does not have a huge impact upon the game but at the same time gives a nice variety for people to do things with. Personally I am going to keep/use perhaps only one or two items from the whole event, but the rest will find nice homes with others within my corporation and umbrella corps.

In the end I think we need to just be happy we got presents and realize that CCP was not obliged in any shape or form to provide anything. CCP could have held an event, made some RP announcements, or just remain silent during this month. I am wary of the attitude of entitlement as it fosters the feeling that you should get something of a certain quality for really no effort.

We have a saying in my country, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth."

I thoroughly enjoyed the effort they put into it, very well done. I didn't like the handing out of free T2 modules because, if even on a small scale, it messes with player created content too much. Personally I'm happy with "silly" gifts rather than substantial or high value ones.

On the snowball fighting, you missed out on a big one! :Luminaire Snowball Fight! + after action report: Luminaire Festivities a great succes!

Remember, this is EvE; CCP gives you the tools, up to you to create the events. But no worries, check the Ingame events & gathering subforum for upcoming snowball fighst (at 26 december, there's one planned at Jita undock!)

All in all, I'm happy with the gifts, can be it tides some folks over to try new things. Also, FEDOOOO! Been after that bloody thing for years! And now I get it as christmasgift! Yay! Also: Leopard Shuttle; fits with the previous giftships. They usually have some fun or odd quirck. Leopard obviously has Speeeeeeeeeed going for it.

They didn't have to give us anything, and yet they went out of their way to not mock themselves for our entertainment, and give us free stuffs. Sure, we never got a shiny new battleship, but that's Ok. I'm happy with the random stuff which will live in my hanger and remind me of Christmas 2013 for years to come.

Hmmm... I appear to have missed christmas?

Apart from one "hull tanking elite" piece of junk I got on about the 15th, I've had nothing to redeem when I logged in since then.

Yes I saw the yule lads webpage thing, was that it?

I actually thought the whole event was pretty decent, reminded me of advent calenders as a child, the suspense of not knowing what you would get when you cracked open the next door :)

The items were mostly meant as a joke so i have no issues with any of them, some i wont make use of but i did like the shuttles i got and the fedo \o/

All in all a decent event and i don't really think it could have improved much :)

I liked it. Most of stuff are items I actually use. There were things for everybody. The Fedo's are fun little novelty pets and the shuttle was pretty cool. Very much enjoyed it. Thanks CCP!!!!!!

My only regret is that my fedo's don't have an option to view them in larger format, would be cell to see the move a bit around.

Of course, I did share my initial thoughts on it with corp mates and the feedback was similar. So much efforts for fun stories and all, so little efforts at choosing the actual gifts.

The 'fredo' and the leopard are definitly what i was hoping for. A special! No-one checked the warp speed on the leopard at first, so that ups it all a lot!

Again, don't scratch away what i said initially. It was good and fun - thank you CCP!

If you have to enlarge the 'what could be better' section into "i hate you all", please refer to a "how to receive feedback" training near you :) marry christmas and suck on my rapid havy assault launchers YAHAHAHAHA!HAA!

All of the gifts except the Leopard were scrub tier. This pales compared to Christmases past.

I mean, no offense, but why waste your players' time with this stuff? I had to login to claim a MWD?

I liked it, it was in keeping with the Yule Lads idea, and silly gifts are often the best :)

Although, of course, some people like shiny presents best
