Feed Activated:

Sitting there, Ber grunts. Stripped of his standard leather jacket to just a torn top shirt. The wall behind him seem's mixed of blood and rust. Betraying his location though as the lights shining down on him give of an ominous blue tone. His left eye swelled shut, and purple as the other just black. Busted lip, and broken nose, dried blood trails escaping from both locations. Hushed muttering can be heard but nothing distinct. Ber looks off to the side some and spits. The glob that comes out though is just blood. Turning back to watch the people moving behind the camera feed, a weakened growl escapes him.

As soon as the growl escapes, ber is punched from someone just off camera. falling from his seat, the figure moves to help another bring him back to the metal chair. Laughter is heard from around before it is cut to silence. When ber is set back onto chair again, he looks around slightly confused.

'Speak Mr. Scandoveski.' The voice coming directly behind the camera is horse and low.

'**** you...**** stain...' Ber says with a weakened laugh looking around.

A man moves in the way of the camera, the sound of something clicking, before a shot echoes out. Ber yells out in pain and groans, a weakened cry escaping him.

'F-FINE!....fine...' The man moves to show Ber, bleeding from a new spot in his upper right shoulder. Ber moves his head around a few times seeming to try and catch himself.

'They are waiting mr. Scandoveski.' The same voice as before speaks up, agitation present.

'I..' Ber blinks with his one good eye but can't seem to focus with it looking to the camera now. 'My Name....Is Alaric Ber....Kan Scandoveski. I have been, warranted to speak up on recent incidents. If i may first state. Kelly. Wolf...' Ber gives a wince as a fist comes for him but stops. The person withdrawing the action slowly. 'Kelly. I love you.' Ber seem's very hesitant with his next words. 'Kill this Guardian Angel ****.'

Yelling starts to pick up as the camera shakes violently. Soon after Ber is swarmed by four different figures and they seem to drag him off.

'FREE-' Ber's voice cut's short.

Soooo yeah... This isn't odd or anything...

Anyone have any idea what's in play here? Aside from a boots-to-em session, medium style?

"It appears as though someone has decided to capture one of my Coalition members and brazenly broadcast a live feed depicting the maltreatment of their prisoner. Socially warranted or not; CONCORD deals with the pilot known as Ber Kan as well as any other pilot under its jurisdiction for crimes they may or may not commit."

"Despite the ill reputation of my counterparts, I am not one for leaving my friends behind. I have neither the stomach for additional grief nor an inclination to sit idly by. For this Kelly Wolf whom my ally sought the assistance of I would ask that they step forward to shed some light on the circumstances behind Mr. Kan's capture."

"For the moment, I am preparing an Assault Squadron for departure from our current staging system to be ready for an extraction of the imprisoned pilot, interested parties in adjoining the fleet are welcome to avail themselves to me directly. While I can provide adequate forces, I do lack requisite data. I will require the assistance of individuals with access to Angel Cartel contacts and intelligence as my own resources exclusively cater to the my Coalition interests and monitoring of Guristas activity in the northernmost clusters. In short I have the fleet, I need the target."

"I'll leave the decrypting of obscure Pirate cryptography to the experts, the morality of Mr. Kan's past to his own conscience, and the ethos of not leaving allies and enemies to suffer torturous conditions for the populace at large. Find me a capsuleer who can pinpoint Mr. Kan's location and get me in touch with Ms. Wolf. Myself and any other volunteers will do our best to retrieve my erstwhile ally."

Oh, I recognise this. How amateur hour was that?

You never broadcast forced confessions live and, to be honest, they should only be done at all once the subject has been well and truly psychologically broken - either through TCMC, psychological behavioural enforcement techniques or drugs. Or a combination of those tactics.

Otherwise you end up with... this.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

Stillwater Corporation denies any involvement with, or knowledge of, the alleged abduction and interrogation of Ber Kan.

We reserve the right to take action against any organisation pursuing vendettas against the Angel Cartel.

Fallen from grace. And as night comes, may flights of Angels visit your sleep... shoot your ships and steal all of your stuff.

+I am attempting to back trace the video feed. But every time I get a bounce or ping. It keeps bringing back this annoying "Hale" name. I have never heard of such a person or place. I will keep my eye's out and if another feed is activated. I will immediatly begin to work on breaking the feed down, to find where it is trans-recieving from.+

I am she, Kelly Wulfram, the one Ber refers to in this... ransom video.
The details around the moment of his capture are unknown to me but perhaps I can shead some light on the events that lead up to it.

I was visiting him on one of the stations in G-0Q86 when the ship and station we were aboard was raided. Ber Kan had us suit up into some prototype drop suits so that we could break out and assist local allied forces in securing or destroying sensitive documents. I chose to equip myself with a 'Solstice' Scout X-Series while Ber took point in a 'Colossus' Heavy vk.0 prototype. This will be important later.

In the ensuing chaos we split up in an attempt to cover more ground. The last time I heard from him personally he was holding the gangplank to a Crusader class interceptor carrying some sensitive data. While he was successful in this it became necessary for him to board the ship as it left station. When this ship was subsequently destroyed attempting to exit the system it was assumed Ber had perished in the explosion. It is obvious now that this was not the case. The clone bay's never received orders to reactivate his clone or indeed any indication that his active clone was some how destroyed or deactivated. In addition sensor log analysis show that his personal distress beacon activated, but was very weak and possibly damaged. Most likely his suit suffered some damage when the interceptor he was aboard was destroyed. Lastly, astrometrics have determined that an Angel Cartel convoy passed within at least 250km of his distress beacon. Analysts aboard the Riot Intervention have determined that this would be sufficiently close to detect his drop suit.

Obviously this is most likely what happened considering what I'm sure we all just saw. In the interests of opsec I think all I will add to that is that efforts are underway to find and retrieve Ber Kan, as per his instructions laid out in what he simply called 'command protocol 2'. Mr Cassidy, feel free to contact me, either via convo or if you cannot reach me, via mail. I will be happy to try and coordinate with you in these operations over the coming days.

Feed Activated:

The feed activates with static. the snowy image then dissipates going to a normal view. Ber can be seen in what appears to be a small warehouse. Nothing but the wall several meters behind him. Hands chained together, above his head, being swayed back and forth by two men, both wearing mask's from some kind of kid's show. The two would laugh starting to spin Ber before stopping, walking off screen.

At this point, there is no movement from him as he slows after a while. Hanging there. Tattered pants. Body bruised in many places, a bullet hole in his upper right shoulder, knife and slash wounds across his arms, chest and stomach. His feet look all but mangled. The left side of his pants have what seem to be a burn spot that goes off on the outside to the back. His left ear, if noticed seem's all but gone.

'Mister Scandoveski. Proclaimed pirate. Now recently Ex-Caldari Navy Pilot. You have been busy within past several years.' That raspy hoarse voice speaks up. sound of papers shuffling behind the camera.

Ber's head is dropped. Motionless, silent, except the movement of chain and foot steps echoing around. A small grunt escapes him but this quickly turns into a heavy cough.

'You seem out of place for once Mist Scandoveski. As though you are more used to being in My position, no?' The voice ask's amusingly. 'You learned quickly to stop that infernal growling of yours. As though you were some caged beast. Wanting to be freed.' Ber gives a light, subtle growl head raising slowly looking to the man. To the camera. His nose broken, and busted. Burn mark in the shape of a knife along his right cheek.

A man moving into view, wearing a white lab coat, but a mask just like the other two moves into view. Long metal pole in hands, he takes a swing at Bers right knee. Cracking sound, shortly followed by a hollowed wail echoes out.

'You are still a creature that need's punishment then I see. Again' The voice call's out over Ber's whimpering.

On que, the man with the pole smacks ber's right knee again. 'Again.' moving to not be in much of the way, the man slams the pole into Bers kneecap. Ber's weakened yell calls out. groanign in utter pain.

'Enough for now. Mister Scandoveski, please. Tell me why we are doing this?' The voice clears his throat. Raspy and calm.

When Ber speaks, it sounds cracked. A broken man speaking out. Weak and in shock. 'B-because. I m-murder.'

'Yes, go on. Tell them.' The voice seem's more excited. As though he was on the edge of his seat, wanting to hear it himself.

Clearing his throat, then spitting blood on the man who had beaten him Ber chuckles soflty out, head rolling to the side some. 'M-murdered y-your spawn.'

A heavy yell escapes from behind the camera. Knocking it from where it was falling to the ground, sitting on it's side. From this view, a top ceiling within the warehouse is seen, looking up into a blueish-white sky. Ber is seen as well, being dropped from where he was being hung up.

The thud of his body does not deny the sound of him groaning in pain. Two men go to him dragging him off camera now.

'Do it. Make him suffer more.' The voice calls out. Soon after Ber's chuckling turn into soft call s of stop. Soon after hacking is heard. The same sound as a butcher's knife would make hitting meat and bone.

The screaming did not stop. It kept going. Even after the two hands were thrown in front of it. Detached brutally from it's owner.

+Ihave begun immediate back tracing the feed. But every time i pin point it within curse, i have to desync my connection due to a virus program. I have encountered this before, but that was during troubled times in caldari prime, shortly after Tibus Heth had gain power abd control of the State. I will try another way, but i think i am close to breakig it.+

If you want real torture, not the rank amateur stuff you listed I would suggest the following.

Plug his mind into some sort of artificial construct and make him think he is killing his friends and loved ones with no control over his actions.

Being fully aware of his actions would break him for sure.
