I unable to login no matter what i do..
-repaired client, restarted pc, cleared cache, reinstalled the game

Anyone else having issues ?

Hi,

Rumor is that Steam has authentication issues right now, other games from steam have the same issues with people unable to login to their games/the steam store.

I do not believe re-installation will fix an authentication issue and some might luck out trying again and again or waiting a while (re-installation achieves the latter).

Because Eve Online on steam is a federated authentication model where your Steam login must work before your eve Online logon will issues like these likely will arise from problems at either end. If only Steam users are effected it is likely to be a Steam issue and CCP can not help you other than batphone the issue to Steam people.

My Steam based install for EVE has been a steady source of issues for years (beyond EVE internal issues). Just tell your Steam to remove it's local install and go with a straight standard install. 10% less grief awaits you.
