Minmatar Battlecruiser - Either Passive Shield tank OR active armor tank?

Is there a Minmatar battlecruiser that's good for either passive shield tanking or active armor tanking for L3 missions?

Though to be honest, I think level 3s are more fun when you use a Tornado fit with a MWD and 1400mm artillery.

Not the fastest, but fun and pretty safe since nothing can hit you.

I'm pretty sure that if you passive shield tank your cane, whatever norse god or elemental deity the minmatar worship will come down on your head with great vengeance.

Sniper Hurricane can do passive shield tank easily.

Cyclone can do passive shield tank probably even better since it has more mid slots. You simply don't use the ship bonus to shield boosting.

This game has a lot of choices.

I haven't flown a standard 'Cane since they got rebalanced, but before that I used a passive shield Artycane to great effect in L3s. As I recall, the only mission I had any trouble with was a fairly crazy storyline I only ever saw once. Had a lot of fun in that ship. I'd expect the fit should still work in the fleet version, but don't know about stock.

My alt did Level 3s just fine in the new Artycane. Fill up your highs with the biggest 720mm guns that will fit, you don't need anything else. Use drones to kill frigates up close and pop everything else 30km away with arties.
