Are there any tricks that I might be missing to make Cap Booster Charges more convenient to carry in my Cargo Hold?

With the new Mobile Tractor Unit (100 m3), 4 types of ammo (~100-125 m3), 3x 800 Cap Booster Charges (300 m3), and a Mobile Depot (50 m3), I sometimes find myself running a bit low on cargo space for mission loot.

Just wondering, thanks.

3x Cap Booster 800 charges would take up 96m³. There we go. I believe that's solved your problem.

I don't know about the cap booster charges themselves, but several of the smaller cargo containers have the interesting property that they can hold more cargo than they take up in your cargo bay (for example: I believe a Small Cargo Container can hold 120 m3 while only taking up 100 m3 of cargo space, while I know for a fact that a Giant Secure Container can hold 3,900 m3 of cargo and fit into 3,000 m3 of cargohold space).

It won't make an enormous amount of difference, but it might help a little.

Also, Navy Cap Booster charges take up less volume than their equivalent standard charges, although they're also at least an order of magnitude more expensive.

Why are you lugging around 4 types of ammo?

If you rat, you only need 1 type.
If you mission, you carry rat specific type, leave other 3 types in the station.

A lot of missions have several different types of rats that can show up. I know what type of rat I am fighting when I arrive, not before.

Apparently I got confused as to their true volume.

Are you serious?

LOL
The contents of the mission has been known and published on the internetz for YEARS! If you so simple that you can not even read these descriptions, then yes, you are CLUELESSLY stumble into whatever rats you find.

PRO tip: In Worlds Collide for Caldari you will find Gurista and Serpentis rats.
For Guristas the ammo: Primary Kinetic; Secondary Thermal
For Serprentis the ammo: Primary Thermal; Secondary Kinetic
So.
If you are clueless, you bring 4 types of ammo.
If you are not clueless, you bring 2 types of ammo.
If you are lazy, you bring 1 type of ammo because this one type will be primary damage type for one set of rats and very effective secondary damage type for the second set of rats. In case of Caldari Worlds Collide I would choose kinetic ammo because there are three rooms with Guristas and only two rooms with Serpentis rats, so you will need more kinetic damage then thermal to deal with the larger number of Gurista rats, and also I find Gurista rats a bit more dangerous then Serpentis rats.

While not appropriate for your needs, due to your already restricted cargo, it was standard practice to carry a medium cargo container (standard, secure... whatever was easiest to get) in Cap Booster dependent BS as, when filled, its contents would make round stacks of four booster 800s - ideal for the (standard) electrochemical booster. The rest of the hold could then hold ammo and a stack or two from which to reload (which could then be replenished from the can).

You really need to chill out. On Eve-Survival, there are many missions of the same name that have different rats... I understand what you are saying, no wait, I don't. I'm simple. Limiting to two ammo types frees up ~50 m3.

I am asking if there are any tricks that I'm not aware of that make it more convenient to carry capacitor booster charges... If you keep posting in that way I will just ignore you and/or flag your post.

Hmm 325 m3 volume and 390m3 capacity... I can store the ammo that I'm not using in there as well as several Cap Boosters... that is convenient. You are right though, since I have limited space, having Cap Boosters available for reloads would limit my inventory a lot more, but now I know what I can do for PVP ;-)

The container trick the others told you about is the only trick.

On the other matter.
Pro tip #2
There are several missions with identical name. Examples:
Blockade
Worlds Collide
To determine which mission to read at EVE Survival you simply need to ask yourself, from what faction is my agent?
Matari agent will give you Blockade with Angel rats.
Caldari agent will give you Blockade with Gurista rats.
Galente agent will give you Blockade with Serpentis rats.
Amarr agent will give you Blockade with Sansha rats.
Conclusion. There is no mystery in which rats you will find in your mission, no need for wasting valuable cargo space for 4 types of ammo.

i usually carry around some extra barrage when missioning in my vargur no matter what the rats are. If there are elite frigs i mjd away load barrage blap the frigs from 90km and mjd back.

Takes about a minute to do and saves my drones.

It does tell you in the mission description. I think if it's mercenaries it's a bit vague but you can look that up. Eve survival is your friend.

http://eve-survival.org/wikka.php?wakka=MissionReports

This is very important if you want to avoid faction missions since taking too many of those will mean you can't go to that space without being chased by faction police.

My post is a lot nicer than the other guys but if you come on the forms saying something that sounds crazy expect to be corrected... Eve is a jungle and the forums are no different LOL

Edit

As the first reply posted each cap booster 800 is 32m with 300m reserved for cap boosters you can hold 9. If you cut back on the ammo you could make that 12 easy. There's no easy fix to hold more cap boosters. You can use navy cap boosters but they're crazy expensive. Cargo expanders... Well that's just silly on a mission ship.

*facepalm* Didn't even notice he's the OP for that thread. The OP has much to learn about Eve but it takes time. I''m still learning stuff and have been playing since 2009.

Ahh good to know there are a lot of dicks in this game as well as every other game. Cheery-o chip chip.

If only I had made a thread asking questions about aspects of the game so that I could learn... oh wait...

It's ok, I'm a **** to noobs sometimes too. It's that feeling that wells up inside of us that we just can't ignore sometimes... just...have...to...be...a...****!!!

Oh no Eve is all about being a ****. Gameplay that will get you banned in other MMOs is encouraged here.

There are lots of resources to learn most things about Eve online. This way you won't get abused for saying crazy stuff. When I get home I'll post some links for you.

He probably uses it to change out hardeners based on the mission rats. I've never tried one but they do look interesting.

As promised here are some links. Some of the information might be out of date because of patches but most is helpful. Also Eve has a help channel in game. Not to be confused with the one you are in for the first 30 days.
