EVE Client and website issues

so shortly i was kicked off the EVE client and the client told me it was not able to connect to it yet my net was still up and fine, decided to come onto the website and check the forums for anyone with similar issues found the site really slow then was unable to connect to it entirely for about 10 mins , asked a friend to ping the site and he said he could ping it unlike me who got nothing but said the ping was really really high , i only have just been able to get back onto the website but unable to connect to the game client, any help would be appreciated on this issue.

ahh you are correct its just come back up for me to, i don't suppose you are in the UK at all? Norfolk/suffolk area?
