Stars have changed... or at least pathing has

Anyone else notice that the shortest-path choice between two stars has changed recently?
One common trip I do has two possible three-gate paths - the Set Destination path used to go one way and now it goes the other way.

Maybe CCP rotated the planets a bit?

Trying out all the things to do here in Eve - it's quite a checklist. So I made a blog Jakob's Eve Checklist

I am currently in warp from the outbound gate to the inbound. I have just passed the star, about to warp near a planet.

Actually, I don't find that whole "connect the dots" effect to be at all interesting, and it's not a useful navigational aid of any particular value, like the Overview or any of the Map functions that plot your route and destination in a far more informative interface.

The "pathing" feature can die a quick death in the back alley of Nowhere and nobody will shed a tear.

Any chance that the new warp speed changes have affected the shortest path?

Psst... go into your autopilot settings by clicking the A up in the upper left corner, where it tells your route, and what system you're in and so on. Then you will see a box that says "Show Route Path In Space". Uncheck it. Then you have one less thing to worry about. Blink

That's an interesting point. I was not aware the AP took in-system warp times into account. Be interesting to know though.

It doesn't. Or never have thus far for me at least since it always decides to go a route that has a longer warp than the other route that has the shorter. In my mind it's just something to do with sorting and/or security preferences, eg use higher sec-status route.

Despite being useless, its also super-cool. Its not like they billed it as a major useful feature anyway. Plus you can turn it off. Back to your cave, Grinch.
