Also, what you describe is already in the game. They're called Attack Battlecruisers.
Even so, you're not making a particularly good case for there being a viable niche above BS but still subcap.

Good evening. If you'd like to propose a new idea, I suggest you do it in the Features and Ideas section. Please remember that all feedback should be given in a calm, rational manner as so that no toes are stepped on, etc so on and so forth.
