America is the Free-est country in the world, the ultimate in democracy.

After one spends a lifetime of negotiating the fantasies about reality set up by our politicians and lawyers.

And even then, you'd better be a millionaire, or you'll indeed be Left Behind.

It's better to catch these sexual deviants at an early age, teach them that kind of behavior isn't tolerated and condition them to suppress it. This way you can make sure he'll grow up to a healthy adult who knows any kind of affection is never to be shown publicly and is properly outraged every time he sees anyone deviating from that norm.

So...they've dropped the "sexual harassment" charge on the 6 YO.

But the issue is indeed, this boy has been out of control in pursuit of this poor girl, he has been told not to have anything to do with her multiple times. He has also been in trouble for a variety of other issues.

What we have is a problem child with potentially latent anti-social tendencies, and a probable learning disability. There really is not much to do except to try him in a more disciplined, specialized environment. He does indeed keep doing the same thing over and over....and once he is 12, this is going to start leading to rather big trouble.

But indeed, slapping "sexual harrassment" on him is idiotic, as the poor child does not even know what sex is (see article.....he is now pestering his mother with"questions").

Ugh.

When I was in grade school we used to run around in packs. Single out and separate specific girls from their herd and hold them down on the ground and kiss them. This wasn't even considered wrong at the time. No complaints to teachers or parents and they would get their revenge using other means that generally left us embarrassed or some such in class.

Children had their own social structure completely independent from any authority figure.

That was back in the 70's though where kids actually dealt with their own issues without help. It was the same way with fighting. If you were getting chased or picked on the teachers would simply tell you to go back outside and deal with it on your own.

Pretty sure we would be sent straight to some sort of special school these days.... or at least some sort of 'program'.

Does that make it correct though ? (Proms are still segregated racially in the state of Georgia, mind you. By the school boards. Does that make it right?).

No.

Absolutely none of this holds true for my school year experiences in rural Arkansas in the 70's at all. None of that went on, nor would it have been allowed.

The draconian measures were much steeper though in high school in Texas, where if the "drug dogs" sniffed out even one ancient beer bottle cap hidden underneath the foot-mat of your car parked in the school lot, that was probably not even yours, meant absolute automatic expulsion.

There just does not seem to be much middle ground.

Krixtal, you forgot the exception to all absolute rules in Texas high schools: (unless you are a varsity athlete).

Everything.

Or rather, it's also a policy enacted by school boards, just as the policy you outlined for us.

School Beard decisions are not always correct.

Sounds like there are children with problems in the case you outlined. Letting both sides "have it out" physically "to settle matters" is not how the adult world operates....at all. In any way shape or form.

Not sure what world you live on. Here on Earth war is a pretty normal thing. It's when two sides fail to come to an agreement diplomatically.

Sounds like a certain German Youth Program my mother was a (unwitting) member of back in the Before Times.

No thanks. Really bad idea.

Quick OT: Ever notice how real fights don't look anything like Hollywood fights? In real fights, everybody's off-balance, in uncool awkward positions, not landing any solid punches, and eventually on the floor. OK, back to on-topic.....

Well you guys don't understand. In America we have a seriously problem, and it's called "masculinity". You see, masculinity is evil, especially masculine sexuality and "rowdiness" Both are offensive to the Goddess and must be stomped out.

If you want a vision of the future, imagine a feminist boot stamping on a man's face - forever.
