My wreck vanished?

Got my ship blown up in a Serpentis Combat Site/Anomaly thing --bookmarked the location and zoomed off to my hangar 8 jumps away to get another ship. Came back approx. 30 minutes later and the Cosmic Anomaly is gone, and all the wrecks, including wreck of my ship, are gone -- is that because I left the area, or because someone else came along while I was gone and gathered/salvaged everything?

Not a big deal, but just want to know how mechanics work for future reference.

wrecks last 2 hours (give or take) after creation, so it is likely someone found it.. ran it and salvaged it all. it doesnt matter if you head off somewhere else, that wont cause wrecks to despawn

Yeah someone else found the site, finished it and looted ur stuff and ur wrecks.

Or you are mistaken and took 2+ hours to dock and reship.

OK, thank you...just wanted to know whether leaving the area, and jumping back to hangar caused it to reset/despawn. Thank you for replies/information.
