Hello everyone, just wanted to say that I now udnerstand why this game had so bad criticism in more than 3 mmo sites. Guess i had to learn the hard way that this game is full of really really bad players, and the tutorials have fatal flaws when not explaining how to not fall for them.

I'm probably just one of many newbies that got killed and just quit the game.

But even so, I kinda liked this game and i was basically kicked since I lost everything, paid ransom in hopes of making the guy think "alright lets leave him alone" but no... so at days of losing my sub I encounter this, and now i cant get another to keep playing! Wonderful!

Kicked from a game by a player. Bad thing i cant actually pay for the game because of currency issues.

So merry christmas and happy new year everyone! o/

Then Eve is not the right game for you.

Good luck in your searches and hope you find one that suits you better.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

I've never seen bad reviews on any sites aside from from a post like this saying they can't handle pvp in a pvp game.

EVE is not for everyone. Be glad that you realized this after a month, and not after spending a few years on it. Best luck wherever you go.

Like not telling you to be careful not to fly something you can't afford to lose?

Oh...hold on... they do.

IMO you kicked yourself from the game. If you're relying on buying plex in-game to play then you cannot fly around with everything (or nearly everything) you own with a few days left. Especially if that's a pirate battleship with some nice modules. And how did you even get in that fight in the first place? You must have engaged someone that was shooting one of your Mobile Tractor Units? There's no way that you could have really expected that you wouldn't get in a fight if you shot first.

So, the bottom line is you chose to risk everything and lost. Sure, maybe the other guy is terrible or whatever. Doesn't matter. If CCP wants to add a tutorial to prevent stuff like this it should be called "Risk Management".

The frequency of these topics is starting to take the fun out of them.

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

Rule#1 Never fly anything you can't afford to lose, or would be unhappy if it explodes.

Looking at the Rattlesnake killmail I'd say you got suspect baited, ninja looting and MTU popping are a great way to get the ignorant to start shooting at you. I lost an MTU while running missions on an alt earlier this evening, guy warped in a Domi and popped it, the trick is to not shoot at them, then they can't shoot at you. Ignore them, and move on.

Although looking at his killboard the guy I encountered has gotten some hilarious killmails, the Hurricane with Railguns and a dual tank made me giggle.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

  • Pretending to be a new player - Check
  • Ignoring EVE's rule #1 - Check
  • Not assuming responsibility - Check

CCP is very straightforward about the nature of EVE before you enter the character creation screen for the first time. You should have llistened and taken them serious.

Sorry to hear, that you cannot keep up because of payment issues though. This shouldn't be a reason on the Internet in these times.

Merry christmas o/.

The char he posted on is 9 months or so old so he aint THAT new.

Curious what he lost and where because the mention of randsom makes me assume lowsec ...

If there is anything another player can do (legally ie within the Game's EULA) to make you stop playing the game, you weren't EVE player material to begin with.

New players could do a lot worse than read the documentation out there that explains the type of game that EVE Online actually is.

A great place to start (pushing my own barrow here) is the Day 0 Advice for New Players thread. If you can prepare yourself for what to expect, it's easier to cope with bad things that happen from time to time.

I know how you feel mate i bought battlefield 4 the other day. After doing the singleplayer part i decided to try out the multiplayer. At first it was fun , there was this one guy flying a helicopter and he let me fly along but the fun soon ended when some guy i never had seen before started to unleash his bullets on me and i died. This happened like 3 times in a few minutes and i just deleted the game from my laptop.

I hate it when people do you harm without any reasoning , all i wanted to do was enjoy the scenery and drive around in a tank Cry

Man i remember those days as OP wrote. I remember how i bought my first cruiser that cost me 10 milions...an amount i was grinding for 1-2 weeks. Then suddenly.... all was lost ... in low sec belt... man i was crazy and pissed of. I sworn that fck this game and i left... Big smile. Few hours after....i was back...

So dude, i bet that you will come back too... Thats why is EVE still here after 10 years.. Its real. You really feel the lost. you really can loose years of your effort in a fraction of seconds. if not then this is not game for you.

Moto of EVE is : Evolution - survival of the fittest.

And tutorials? dude. Do you want to hear what kind of tutorial were when i started 7 years ago?.
