Well the problem is that Santa is an elf.* If I recall correctly, one of the initial founding principles of EVE Online is that there would never, ever be any elves. Or dwarves, orcs or halflings. It's just one of those laws that can't be changed, no exceptions.

But we do have Santa Spirit. No beard, no red suit, and he even forgot to put on a shirt. But...
A bundle of toys he has flung on his back,
And he looks like a peddler, just opening his pack.

No no no... According to lore capsulers in EvE are descendants from planet Earth. And Gallente are descendants from the French. And Saint Clause is Dutch... witch is almost French. And that is the reason why the other casulers love to gank...Gallente Freighters hoping they will by accident find Santa. Therfore having and official Santa and the ability to shoot him down, will reduce future loss for Gallente Freighters =)

Note: Santa Claus (the patron saint of waiting for months to get new toys) doesn't have an e at the end of his name. Sanity clause (a provision in a contract) does. No prob, a lot of people get the two things confused.

Last year, when I was out in a gang I came across something wonderful in Covryn.

On D-Scan there were 8 Caldari (I think they were merlins or the noob ships) each named after one of Santa's reindeer, along with a Talwar labelled Santa's Sleigh.

We never found the POS where somebody had carefully laid these out - but I imagine they had carefully placed them so the caldari frigates were carefully lined up in pairs, and santa's sleigh sitting behind them.

The thought of how that Talwar looked, along with the frigates, made us all laugh.

Whoever did it, nice one!

Why would Santa come visit eve players? We don't have any good little boys and girls to deliver presents to.

And after the first year of Eve when he came to deliver us coal we popped his sleigh. It turns out Santa's Sleigh doesn't come equip with a pod. No Pod, No Clone, No Service.
