Houve Missions - getting mining frigate level 1?

Hi, I am doing the Houve missions and have just completed the 2nd on of molehill and have been giving a mining ship, and yet I cannot use it?

How do I get the required mining level please? :)

You should've also been given a skill book. "Mining frigate" Inject the book and train it. Level 3 won't take more than a few hours. If you plan on mining for a living then I wouldn't bother training it past there. Maybe even lane it at 1.

The tutorials used to be "undock now... congratulations" That was it. The whole thing.

Wait till you try to mange your orbiting range on one target while keeping transversal up on another, checking d-scan, keeping tabs on local & remembering to inject more cap while linking their names/ships into fleet who are still 4 jumps out. And that's an easy fight.

All true.

But don't forget...EVE's UI is a bit daunting when you first start(ed). A lot of things us vets take for granted aren't as obvious to new players as we think.
