Eve online CE, i Bid higher, why havent i been picked? (charity stream auction)

Like many players, yesterday night, i was watching the charity live stream.

I did my share and sent a plex to ccp plex for good.
BUT ! when i saw that signed collector edition, i considered involving some more of my wealth. what i consider A LOT more.

So i sent our dear CCP falcon a mail with my bid. enjoyed a nice pvp roam in ravens with ccp bro..
right after this i happend to discover that, not only i have not been picked as one of the top bidders but also that my bid was HIGHER than the last named of the contributors...

i have been waiting for this possibility to get a plex funded CE since it first went out.
THIS was the opportunity i have been waiting for and it would have been signed !


now let me clarify some details.

YES the character i mailed was in CCP alliance,
no it was not AFTER the bids have been closed,
YES i had all the plexes required.

Now, i'd like to hear about what happend and what to do.. because obviously something went wrong.

edit. I'd like to hear aswell how you guys sorted the mails and picked the highest bidders.
Anyone involved in the process on the ccp side is welcome to give any details.

Well, as one of the winners and second highest bidder, I will tell you what I did

I sent an in game mail to CCP Falcon with the subject as:
I bid XX plex for signed CE
The body had no words as the instructions said to put the bid in the subject line, so I assume they didn't read the mails just looked at the subject line

When the auction went live, my inbox was literally flooded with bids that were all 1,2,3,4 PLEX etc.

The bids that were accepted were the highest bids that made it through in the storm of spam. I was still receiving EVEmails for the Collector's Edition auction way after the bidding started for the two hats.

Thankfully the bidding for the hats was very clear cut, with the two winners being 100 and 60 PLEX, and the fact that they were bidding on the hats was confirmed with the winners.

It's unfortunate that your bid didn't get to me in time, but regardless, you guys raised a lot of money for a very good cause.

in time ? i double checked. it was.
i even hoped that a script was working the lift.

this story is leaving me highly disapointed once again.
since i now have what i've been looking for, shall we close the thread?
