Does the market uploader in EVMON disclose stations where I did transactions?

I guess I'll spare the details about "why I care" : ) no one really cares

but, it's more about what is being able to continue wha is tfun for me than it is about maximizing my over-all profits.

No, it only looks at location and prices of items when you open a market window. Your individual orders or transactions are not recorded.

Just to expand on that: It only exposes the region you're in, and the items you're looking at.

And actually tying the upload to you as a character is difficult/nigh impossible.

Thanks.

It is important to know what I am sharing to motivate me to share at all.

I like having accurate data for Jita, and The Forge ... less so for backwater regions where I have fat mark-ups and moderate volume on unexpected items.

I guess if I had different API keys for different characters I could share data in some regions and not in others. I'm assuming that EVEMON gets it's data from the account/character API

I tend to have one character trading exclusively in a given region and could set what I reveal to EVEMON that way.. right?

(it doesn't scan my cache on my computer independent of api, does it? )

The only information that could be tied back indirectly to your character is that the location where the export was generated could be deduced from the number of jumps which are included. The items with 0 jumps would tie of course directly to your station. It sounds like you're concerned about what you're interested in and where you are being disclosed, and this is precisely what you in fact are disclosing.

Yes ... whether it makes sense time wise or not, I enjoy finding certain systems where people are willing to pay twice market prices for fairly expensive items....and of course some 10 times a named item as if it were rare etc.

Sometimes those chracters are based in a given station in some corner ... and I'll log into them when I feel like it.. once a week, once a month.. everyday if I'm suddenly attached to their picture or I've been having fun banter in local

... fun banter in local is high on my list sometimes.. but I need to have a profitable little niche there too to lure me to log on P

Question So, it is the character API that gives the info .. right? Not the cache on my computer?

This is important because I use both EVEMON and EVEHQ and I certainly want to give full api to eve hq.. but maybe i coudl share in a more controlled way with selected full api for EVEMON

All market data is read form your cache, and has nothing to do with the API.

There is no way to connect the data you upload to your character, so unless the very fact that someone is selling those items is threatening to you, you shouldn't have any problems.

The uploaded data also doesn't contain anything about past transactions, only the active buy/sell orders.

No. Whether directly exported, or indirectly read from the cache, it doesn't come from downloaded API information.
