More of an item on my wish list than anything else.

Ex: merge dmg implants for
Large projectile
Large hybrid
Large energy
Into Large turret operation or something

Do the same with mediums and smalls.

Yeps but for different slots, like slot 10 for larges, etc.

Kinda minor in all honesty, but I figure if I spend the time to train multiple battleships, give the isk for decent implants, it would be nice not to need to switch heads if I feel like running a gallente bs rather than a minmatar bs for a bit

Has it occurred to you that that is a design choice? Or even a balance thing?

It never does.

No one should have to make tradeoffs in EVE. What was CCP thinking?

Lawl it is why I suggest limiting to size as they take different slots. But the current tradeoff is just silly and overly specific for the gain it would otherwise prevent.

Ex, the current system prevents retaining a 1-6% gain when switching to another race's hull that uses the same sized turrets or just to turrets of the same size. The prereqs that need to be in place before this makes an impact:
* the player has the sp to justify switching hulls / weapon systems
* the player has the other hulls / weps available
* the player doesn't have a different head in the area with alternate implants or does and needs to switch weapon systems more than once in the jump clone cool down
* the player can't or doesn't want to afford plugging in a new implant

Granted if there is some design spookiness going on in the background that would make a change like this take an arm and a leg, I'm cool with it not being changed. But if it can be, it should be imo

Which is the entire point of why it's done that way. A weapon hardwiring is intended to force you to make a specialization choice with that particular clone, the tradeoff being superior damage. If you want general purpose, use one of the already available general damage or rate of fire turret implants that use a different slot.
