It appears to me that the Rubicon marauders are made for bumping. Could anyone confirm/deny the following tactic functionality:

1) MJD inside a capital ship.
2) Bastion up to cause a bump.

I figure this was fixed by removing the mass addition from bastion? I could see interesting applications for this, e.g. undock bumping with preset 10 second "target cans" to align towards.

I'm not 100% on this but isn't it against forum rules to post about things like this specially with instruction of how to or what to do? All post like this do is feed the hunger of a#% clowns who get off on ruining others game plays.

You dint really test it did you. Also nothing is against the rules, bumping is a complete intended game mechanic.

The only thing that would be against the rules would be talking about exploits, which this isn't.

Good luck hitting a capship with a MJD from 100k.

The exploit part would be if MJD - bastion held you inside a POS forcefield to bump off stuff inside ;)

Supercapitals could be perma bumped by a couple of these using the 1min MJD + 1min bastion timer; aiming it should not be too much of a chore with good routine. The method for bumping capitals on undock I'm thinking was described in OP:

1) Plant a can of sorts at the undock of a station in a pre determined 15 second spit range. The 15 second spit is used as benchmark to figure out a standard place to drop the can. Another standard place is a spit + spam-stop range, which is much easier to determine by testing.

2) Align to the can from 105km spot (warp in to 100 to be almost there) and MJD. Bastion up if you land inside the capital.

Now it's all theory as in topic, but this with a stretch of imagination could be useful for bumping stuff out of undock. Which is the reason I wanted to hear if anyone has tried this :)

Out of curiosity, what happens if you try to MJD into a POS forcefield that you don't have access to?

Requires testing, but landing warp in one used to cause a ~~~BUMP~~~, and in some cases leaving ship inside a POS with password/standings issues could cause it to be ~~~BUMPED~~~ out. I once had to probe down a friend's carrier several thousand km off the POS as it got bumped when left unpiloted inside a POS.

Sieging or bastioning inside could cause ships to be bumped on the way out, as could leaving ship inside a forcefield that's about to bump you. But that would be an exploit. Oh right, now I realize how the exploit bump is done :)
