Lately I have been playing less and less on EVE and more and more games on the Oculus Rift.

Since the Perception 2.0 drivers came out I have been playing mostly Skyrim.

Its rather odd. I played through the game once before (actually never finished it) but this time its much different.

I spend minutes at a time gawking at the landscape and giant spiders scare the poop into my pants.

My only complaint about the rift is its low resolution which they will solve in later versions.

So... It feels like we are on to something. Something big.

I think the Oculus Rift simply lacks the "killer app" that will bring it to the forefront.

That is an MMO that you can play completely in the Rfit.

Skyrim sort of does that but its not a real MMO.

Star Citizen promises to have Rift support.

Hrm... I'm not sure why I'm telling you this since one cannot really describe why the Oculus Rift is awesome without having the intended person experience it themselves.

Ah. Who cares, I'm going to play some more Skyrim now.

I thought Oculus might be good for the flight sim I play but since I have to use so many different keyboard keys it might just get in the way.

So I guess TrackIR stays for now.

You can sort of look through the bottom of the rift and see your keyboard if you look the right way.

But I suppose you just need a flight sim with less keys.

I'm just not hyped for it, except maybe for eve valk, maybe it's something that needs to be tried in person.

I don't feel like being psychologically traumatized... I was a USMC Scout/Sniper so I can deal with a hell of a lot but everyone has a limit

Also, it was a little redundant to tell that it were the Japanese that came up with it, because of course it were the Japanese.

I got lost in thought... it was unfamiliar territory.

I googled it...and became jealous of fake anime girls bodies. depressed; I fled to my couch with a cozy blanket and a half gallon of Häagen-Dazs ice cream and ate all my feels away.

Currently a dev kit costs $300. I suppose that will be the same for the consumer version.
