Question about "Delivery" when manufacturing

So I am new to Eve and am a little confused by the usage of the term "deliver" in the manufacturing menu context. To me, it sounds as though the job could take place at Station A and the materials be picked up from Station B and delivered to Station C when it prompts you with the "Input/Output Hanger" drop-down window.

Am I misinterpreting the function of this drop-down window?

The only option I have is "My hanger", but what other hanger would it be, besides one at another station (which would also be considered "My Hanger")?

Or is there a certain skill which unlocks the ability to "deliver" the materials/product in a manner similar to which I have described?

In EVE items do not teleport from one station to another. if the job is in station 1, the materials needed have to be in station 1 and the items produced by the job will end up in Station 1.

As for what other hangers there would be, none while you're in an NPC corp. When you're in a player corp, there's the corp hangers if you are at a station where your corp has an office.

Gotcha. I figured as much, but delivery sounds like a little more travel would be involved and wanted to make sure. Thanks for the help.

It's delivered from the 'manufacturing section' of the station to your hanger.
