I hate this goddamn game.

Getting a perfect run and then it hits me with the ultimate counter.

Goddammit.

I don't want this to come across as ragey but AAAAAAARRRRRGH!

Cheers for letting me vent my spleen.

got 8 crew, amassing a decent armoury of ions, multiple lazors, spewing missiles. Well no offense but a small untanked ship will annihilate your dreams. Have a nice evening. FTL just did you laterally.

What I like about Indie games is that they dont cater to the "casual" (by that I mean bad) playerbase. These games will actually **** you over and we like it :)

I like the idea of the game but not the game itself. It doesn't have to be as hard as it is. The game already has difficulty settings so I don't see why they can't balance those properly.

I also find the game to be too short. I want to be able to spend hours flying around in a ship I built with a crew I trained and just do whatever.

Not be pulled around by the nose in a rickety ship that is more defined by the parts it doesn't have than the parts it does have.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

I am having difficulties winning the game on easy. If I get to the final stage, the damn boss just keeps getting away from me after I defeat it multiple times. Eventually I'm so low on HP that I can't fight anything, and there are not repair areas anywhere. If i go fight the boss, I die. Because it apparently has a super weapon at the last fight. If I don't fight it I lose because it gets to close to our ships. Indie games are hard :(

I had my whole ship burn up after a **** easy fight in a solar flare thingy after the cabin caught fire and so I could never engage warp nor put out the fire. The door controls were gone and the fire was just spreading.

So you may be a fan of "Don't starve", then. Lol

(Anyway, there is a difference between being difficult and being hard for the sake of being hard. For an instance, QWOP is one of the most difficult games around, but it's not hard at all).

Fun game. But nothing pisses me off more than Xcom enemy unknown :( 3 guys, 80%+ chance to hit, all miss, then one died, all went into mass panic, then they all died... half way to the game, using IRONMAN.... Had the best run ever too ...

Limbo and FTL have been sharing me like the little game **** I am. I've been buttraped by both games, and others like them, so many times.

And I like it...... Twisted

Last game of FTL I played, which was last night, I was kicking ass, taking names, death and destruction everywhere. Sent my team of Mantis over to the enemy ship and just as they were mopping the floor with the last Rebel scum, a couple of asteroids jump my ship and had their way with it. Too bad you can't capture an enemy ship.

Surrender is still your slightly less painful option.

If you like being beaten by AI's 'AI Fleet Command' is a good one for that. that game is Evil! if everything is going to plan, your screwed! if you take a system from the AI it gets mad, if the AI takes one of your systems it gets mad. oh and if you try and use super weapons, it steamrolls you.

How I tend to win is to load up on ions then skill up engines, cockpit and stealth. That way my mantis warriors can do their job by teleporting over to the enemy ship.

One cruel tactic to defeat ships which I find enjoyable is to disable a ships engines, weapons and O2 then laugh as the enemy crew suffocates in their own ship.

Totally evil, and oh so satisfying. Especially that one enemy ship that has the O2 in an isolated room........ knock that out and buwhahahahahahahahahahaha......

The best part is when you watch them scuttle between the medbay and O2 room when they are so completely desperate to get it back online.

Using just fire bombs is another fun one if you can manage it.
