I have been disconnected 5 times in under an Hour now. It's NOT my ISP i can assure you. Is anyone else getting this Issue??

yes, others reporting same issue, but not everyone.

I have a feeling there's a regional node somewhere between us and Iceland that's having fits and that there's not all that much CCP can do about it.

I noticed I had a spot there where even the forums died between reading pages. So there must be a major system somewhere that's derpin.

EDIT: Problems seem to be people on Comcast.

Maybe a flapping route somewhere?

Servers are in London.

I never had a single disconnect until Rubicon.

Now, I get a least one per hour or so play session.

Have you checked your settings? Called your ISP? Asked neighbors if they, too, are having issues? Tried disabling your firewall and antivirus software? Have you checked that your internet connection is running at full speed? Run the repair tool? Cleared your cache from the launcher? Have you played other online games to see if the problem exists there too?

EDIT: I know this sounds like a joke, but seriously, reset your router and PC, and see how you go. Nine times out of ten, that will solve minor connection issues.

I'm curious about your evidence on this, for starters.

Regardless, there is more to the internet than your isp and the tranquility cluster. People need to stop automatically assuming CCP has any control over lag or disconnects, or that whining on the forums will solve anything.

Man, the forums always have the best ISP and internet connectivity technical support shortly after a patch when connection stability turns to **** for no reason that could possibly have anything to do with any actions on CCP's part (such as a patch) that took place after the 'good period' and before the 'bad period'.

Graphically: goodgoodgoodgood(CCP DOES SOMETHING)badbadbad --> "get another ISP, bro."

OTOH, it's not like any of you can fix CCP. I just hope none of their datacenter techs search these forums for stories to tell to the boss.

Regional node issues are usually the cause of this sort of thing.
But yeah, as said above the servers are in London, not in Iceland.

It' almost always a routing issue, something CCP isn't responsible for even if they wanted to. Generally you have to blame your ISP for switching to a cheaper routing or just the interweb itself in general. Most of the times these issues clear up after a few days/weeks when your ISP's tech support gets sick and tired of the complaints and they actually start doing something.

Same issue here. 2 times in 4 jumps. There have also been audio issues as well. AB/MWD sounds are good, but there is an extra load somewhere when things get busy. (smooths when sound is disabled). "Socket was closed". Got right back on.What?
