So, what the title says, i am just wondering if everybody in a corporation, assuming they have the right roles, can unanchor a control tower? or just the guy who put it up.

i think everybody with the right role can take it down, but i havent been able to find a definitive answer anywhere...

hope you guys can help me :)

Anyone. Roles are global.

The only one that isn't, is the one that lets you put in jobs. only you, or a director, can cancel them.

It's one of the things we're hoping gets sorted when the role system gets updated.

Woo! CSM XI!

thanks, for the help :)

i have another question actually, and again i cant find a definitive answer anywhere...

if you were running a medium pos, with two moon harvesters and a simple reactor, would you be able to send the moon goo directly to the simple reactor and bypass silo/coupling array, and from the reactor into a silo. i know that the coupling array is there so i can empty the silo and not lose any stuff. But if i understand correctly, the materiels are only transfered to the silo once per hour, at a specific time (determined by when you anchored the tower...?). So... in theory shouldnt it be possible to cut out the coupling array, and make do with only one silo, freeing up cpu for defenses...

the moon mining setup im thinking of is, 2x moon harvesters, routed to a simple reactor, which is the routed to a standard silo...

Any thoughts? :)

Yes you can link the output of a harvester directly to the input of a reactor.

Yes the tower cycle time is determined by when the tower is finished onlining.
Yes you can link harvesters directly to a reactor
Yes the setup you proposed will work 500+500+1500+500 on a medium tower but only fit on caldari(3750) /Gallente(3375) with any left over cpu, Minmatar(3000) will be cpu flush, amarr(2750) doesnt fit

I personally do not approve of this method. Harvesters have no storage and reactors can be temperamental. much easier to have a couple between to buffer

Its not possible to please all the people all the time, but it sure as hell is possible to Displease all the people, most of the time.

If the POS has a Corporate Hangar Array, you can set roles for access to the seven slots. Make sure anyone using the POS does not have access to all seven. Say call one "executive" and only the most trusted people have access. Place something in that hangar slot.
Now if they want to steal your tower they got to first unanchor the CHA. But that cannot do so as something is in a hangar slot they do not have access to. Their only option is to blow up the CHA. But that generates DED "starbase under attack" e-mails. As long as someone is on-line to remove roles, you can save the tower.

a) You can't blow up a CHA without getting rid of the forcefield first.

b) If someone has POS config roles, they can still steal everything other than the stick itself (silos, moon minerals, even POS fuel).

c) If they steal POS fuel, when the POS goes offline they can blow up the CHA (takes only a few volleys) and instantly take down the tower itself. You have only seconds to see the notification and strip their roles. If they attack the CHA with an alt, you don't even know which main is behind the heist.
