Can't Log In Duo Trial Account Message

Dear CCP,

I started an Eve Trial account last week and have not yet upgraded to a full subscribtion.

However, after the downtime and the patch download I can no longer log in my main Eve online account. I am aware you can not log in with a trial account and a subscribtion account at the same time, so this is clearly not the case.

I logged out my trial account, quit the client and later tried logging in with another subscribtion account, however, when I try to log in I get the following message:

"While we appreciate your enthusiasm to try EVE, we would also appreciate if you could limit yourself to using a single trial or subscription accounts only."

I tried clearing my cache, but this didn't fix the problem.

Can you please fix this issue, this has not happened before and seems to be coming from the latest update that we had to download today.

Kind greetings,

I can try but find it weird to restart my computer... That still leaves a bug that needs to be fixed. Previously I never had to restart.

Did you try plexing your account?

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

I dont know what that has to do with anything, i run a main account which is years old and started a trial account last week which has still 2 weeks left before it has to be upgraded... So I did not plex my account yet.

You keep the time even if you plex now- you do not lose your 2 free weeks left.

Yes I know, but I am not going to plex now, even though I keep the trial time. It still does not account for the issue and it still wont fix the problem.

I am seeing a lot of forum posts saying the server is down, so that might have something to do with it...

When you say you quit the client, did you also close the launcher? I have had similar issues that were addressed by closing the launcher. Did you check to see if Eve was still in the processes when you bring up the task manager?

I dont use the client, I use the ExeFile.exe directly, which doesnt need the launcher. I checked the task manager but eve is not running.

Try updating your drivers for your graphics card and so on.

Yeah, I had a feeling they broke Eve...

That has nothing to do with the trial account message... Eve was running fine before they broke the server...

Try Control Alt delete and look for an eve exe file running somewhere.. I have a weird bug with mine sometimes when I log in using the launcher and not the exe file it bugs and never opens yet it is running in my processes.. Usually the issue..

Have not yet figured out what causes it but it only happens when i use ccp "cool" launcher

It happens occasionally.

Just give it the three finger salute (ctrl/alt/del) and see if you have the client running. End the process if you do and you'll be good to go.

This.

It can happen that exefile.exe (the EVE client) keeps running in the backgroumd and this prevents the trial/paid account log ins.

I restarted my computer and since the server is back up again it seems to let me log in again... Guess it had to do with the server being down...

Or the very first idea of restarting your computer was the fix. Big smile
