Player controlled high sec = More highsec systems?

As we move towards a player controlled highsec structure, would it not be reasonble to increase the amount of highsec systems?
Currently highsec is pretty crammed. CCP did good efforts to make People move out of dense areas With some minor changes to the way missions have their agents rated. I belive that if CCP continous to expand on the idea to make more of the infrastructure player controlled in highsec, the highsec will be more dense than it already is. I would like ccp to add more highsec systems. Either that or make it actually viable for smaller entites gain sov, with out beeing out blobbed or having to rent.

td:lr = Fix force projection or increase numbers of highsec systems before you add more player controlled infrastructure in highsec.

It's been said before, but if you make something viable for small groups then it's automatically also viable for larger ones. Even if a 256 man fleet somehow can't do something a 10 man gang can't, the 256 dudes can split up into 25-and-a-bit 10 man gangs and do it that way.

Also, how do you envision this "player controlled highsec"? To whom do we give CONCORD ships?

Is it? There seem to be big old chunks of Khanid, Metropolis, Kador, Devoid, even Domain that very few seem to bother with. Not that I'm against the idea, just don't see it that way at all.

Would agree they could do more work to spread things out though. Rebalacing the stations/agents (or giving the players a way to make this happen) would be a big project but ultimately worth it imo.

Are you ******* kidding me? By what metric? And also, so what if it is cramped? Unlike anywhere else in the game, having 100 dudes in your hisec system doesn't really affect anything you do.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

considering the rest of eve, yes 100 players in a system is crammed :)

NearNihil: You should ask ccp, they are the ones that want to make everything playercontrolled. I'm guessing high Security status individual will be tasked With Concord duty ;)

Having highsec be player-controlled won't make things even more dense. It will do the opposite. Some people will say "this is bullshit" and leave highsec for low/null while others will say "this is bullshit" and just quit EVE altogether. A great many will stay in highsec and continue/try to continue their usual daily endeavours but I don't see more people being in highsec as a result of player control.

ccp will be bringing new systems in in the form of player build star-gates/jump gates to new galaxys/systems. some time in the future.

Back when I knew very little about EVE I used to make assumptions about how things would work. One of those incorrect ones was that in order for hisec to REMAIN hisec, players had to actually do something, ie work for it or pay for it etc etc, then I discovered that hisec "just is".

I'd prefer my original concept. That way, if players got really lackadaisical about working hard at it, it suddenly flips to low sec and everyone gets suddenly ganked back to the stone age until everyone pumps isk/points/whatever back into the magic-hisec-projection-box and flips it back.

... sorta like a weird arsed version of FW, only its like, Pirates vs Carebears.

"ARGGGH they are ganking my Freighter !!! Flip it back !!! FLIP IT BACK !!!"

I probably would not enjoy it, but it would still be hell funny.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.

I agree, most of the activity seens to be on or around the caldari/gallente HS route between jita and dodixie, it drops of steadily after that.

Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction...
