Emergency downtime due to TQ hardware issues

Hmmm....dear CCP, after your second reboot i have this problem http://SSmaker.ru/d8a6f109/ ......i guess its not my internet connection, because i am able to post this topic, and the repair tool didnt worked...whts the problem now?

Tha'ts not the problem. The problem is CCP codes using Python. Every now and then a python gets out and eats a hamster.

Please do not compensate us. The fact that you care enough to fix something is compensation enough. Plenty of MMO, browser game, and FB app developers just let their games stay glitchy and unplayable, and zero damns are given whilst players jump ship in droves.
CCP doesn't do that. CCP attacks the problem and keeps us informed. That is all the compensation we need. The Gimmie-Gimmies aren't important.... they will eventually ragequit, anyway. The sooner the better. Replace them with awesome noobs that don't mind PvP.


Please remind me about how Eve is a facebook/browser game.

because when you pay for a service you usually get it......

given CCP does usually do exactly that.... and yes its not really all that onerous in the case of most games...

but EvE isnt most games.. EvE happens in real time.. so if the server is down then it is costing the players.


in the end its just a game... i came back from a jog hoping to get some time in... but the continual restarts are really killing the mood for me :P ... not to mention the near daily slow-ass patch updates.


I pay subs to play a game , I dont really want to have to set a timetable for when i can play based on when the game "might" have an open window and actually be operating or find that i need to download a damn patch every time i try to start the game.

As much as I have my disagreements with some game mechanics, EVE does perform as it's supposed to for the most part. I've been in other MMOs that were literally behaving like Betas, if not Alphas.

And I do understand what it means to have a server crash in rush hour.

Perhaps mirror nodes (less in number) can be implemented to take load in case of failures.


Well, I'm docked and safe, minus an agent timer which I don't care about!

Haven't got a clue what you did, but before this morning's emergency maintenance, I could log normally. The problems started after the start of this maintenance.
