Should FW be extended to high sec?

The faction war seems kinda meaningless if it's only restricted to some arbitrary low sec systems. I think FW would become more immersive if empires could take over every system in both high sec and low sec, with perhaps the exception of the capital system. This shouldn't affect non-FW players (or at least they shouldn't be blapped). Who knows, maybe the Gallente flag will fly over Jita 4-4 one day.

In a lore point of view aren't we fighting on behalf of the empires on the fringes of said empires or something close? They dont want to engage in real conflicts with each otheras they are expensive in cost and lives but capsuleers can do it for them?

Game balance wise you still can do fw in highsec, I've ganked a lot of militia pilots in high sec, its just harder. But imo fw belongs in low sec.

Precisely, it is war by proxy, specifically said so in the Concord thingie if I recall .. allowed to prevent all out war.

To include Empire space proper would be tantamount to open declarations which would probably be great fun but the omni-present gate camps and docking games that follows would become stale very quickly and kill Eve dead as sure as if CCP sold out to Zynga (now there's a nightmare!) by making the game as a whole a one trick pony.

That said.

Over the years there has been calls to allow FW to influence aspects of high-sec life and that could be harnessed quite effectively to make things a lot more interesting overall. Could be an expansion-contraction type of thing, with things going badly abroad, things at home gets easier and vice versa .. for instance, better mining/lower taxes when troops are hurting for resupply.

Go to high sec CONCORD space. Fight all you want since they do not bar any militia from their systems.

It would be really cool if the high sec border systems (1-2 jumps) got converted to low-sec if the other side controlled the border systems. So the Gallente could push though important high-sec hubs like Ichoriya/Onnamon/Nourv and make them low-sec, which shows how the nation is losing control/strength.

I agree. Theres no creativity at CCP atm. Almost all the good ideas came from the players.

Remove highsec.

Oh and nullsec.

No one actually lives in these places, it's just a sea of bots and scrubs.

i think highsec has quite much active people, there is just no reason to go lowsec or 0.0.

well. actually there is one reason to go there: to see how boring and dead this space.

After spending some time in low/0.0 you return to trade hub and .... You see lots of people who can just speak and not try to kill each other! Shocked

that's a cool idea - could totally start a fail cascade that spreads to Eve Gate and back again
