power issues sounds like an outside problem. how are your techs working on it this is confusing. beside that i love how vague CCP always is when there is a problem. a quote from CCP "it is broken and we are working on it" not lightning hit the building and we are making sure that the server is ok.

Latest update is that downtime will last until 15:35 UTC. It seems that the issue was greater than at first expected.

Our operations team are hard at work fixing the problem, however, and I'll go crack the whip once or twice again for good measure.

Thank you all for your patience!

thank you for the constant updates with an ETA.

Seems like someone was busy at the Game Master's Lounge in polaris with their exotic dancers and didnt remember to put fuel in the POS. This could be awhile.

Hey, I'm mostly afk =) I DO work! But I've never come back and had my PC run out of RAM.

How about you fill up all the towers with fuel please CCP? All this crashing and 'unscheduled downtime' on top of patches for patching the patches ... talk about horror story for AU timezone players. Manufacturing, moving, and loading fuel into POS isn't one of the funnest aspects of EVE, trying to do it conistently with all this rubbish is just ... ugh.

Time needs to stop in the game when we can't play. We already lost the time needed to take a system tonight due to the unexpected patch with its very slow downloads delaying form-up. Personally I have never been saved by downtime / patches - but I sure have been screwed over by them.

So yes, everyone who owns a POS should find a day's fuel magically appearing inside the tower. Why? Why not. Fix the damn game, or stop time for things like fuel until you do. Oops

You wouldn't be playing this game if the rest of us didn't spend money on this game.
As gaming companies go and MMO's in particular, I cannot think of one that a. keeps a dedicated group of players voted on by the entire player base to ensure the company is paying attention to what is important. b. has as little down time as this game in comparison. c. chooses the we don't control your moral compass approach. Can you?

Remember its easier to be malevolent than benevolent.. just try it..

Update 15:08 UTC: The issues encountered are bigger then at first believed, so downtime has been extended until 15:35 UTC.

Aha! So you not only forgot to feed the hamsters, you also forgot to stock up on hamsterfeed and now you need to nip down to the hamsterfeed store to buy some hamsterfeed.

No worries, we all make mistakes. It's ok as long as no hamsters get harmed in the process.

Where do I find the "exotic dancer" skill book? Could keep me occupied in such times as these.

Could be possible they're rerouting power. I was in the middle of patching on my amazing 14kb/s net when the news popped up on the launcher, still completed the patching so there isn't any problems there, so they might just reroute racks to that server.
