Finding good manufacturing products

I have spent a lot of time looking through ammunition that sells well on the markets, mostly crystals. But everything seems to have a very small profit margin. I have been using this site for now, although it seems like in the future I may need to move to spreadsheets. Anywho it seems like I could get a better isk per hour from just mining. Anyone have advice as to finding good products to manufacture?

Problem with items you have been looking is that "anyone" can make them, so the profits are low.
The harder it is to make certain item the bigger the profits are.
Also nothing prevents you from mining extra isk while the products are being made at the station.

For example cap boosters are often much better profit, but the bigger ones are VERY cumbersome to haul.

Google Eve Isk Per Hour and download it. Once you figure out how to use it, import your prices and see what's making good IPH. Make sure to sort by 'SVR*IPH'.

My suggestion is to look into rigs first. Specifically small rigs if you don't have easy access to research slots. Some smalls and mediums can pull 1mil/hour or more and most move pretty fast. And if you want bigger profits, don't sell at major hubs (Jita, Amarr). Scope out some mission and FW hubs.

ISK per hour is a good start to see what's profitable. T1 ammo nets little profit in general, except for cap boosters maybe. I started with ammo when I began my industry career, but have not bothered with it for a while now.
But there are certain modules (especially those without meta variants, e.g. all drone related modules) which net good profits. Ships are okay-ish, the larger they get, the more profitable they can be.
Start small, acquire blueprints as you need, and take one step at a time. Good luck to you.
