I guess it's suppose to have a shuttle bay and a medical bay, could go with the hints CCP have been giving about the new systems only accessible via player built stargates

Yeah, I'm really starting to like the original design now- I had had different expectations, but now I'm really starting to prefer this version. But if it's going to be going into wormholes, then there could be problems..

Unless it has some special attribute that prevents sleepers from targeting its drones, it'll have trouble fighting them.

But that'd be useful, wouldn't it?Big smile

Now that I've looked at it for a while, and I've looked at the view from the top, the first iteration is really growing on me- I think that's the one I'd most like to fly. The ring in the back looks cool, but it looks kind of strange for such a huge ship to have that on the back- in the front, it's like the ring pulls it along Big smile

I like the ideas, but I think the original is the coolest now Smile

No ring all day long.

If this ship is going to be exploration based it needs to be super agile like a Mach or be a faction version of a black opps battleship. Otherwise it'll probably be just too vulnerable. Especially given the new warp changes.

Vulcan ships from startrek all have aft ring propulsion designs. It's probably to prevent copyright issues or from looking too uninspired.

Kinda looks like a sideways tower.

But with that, it looks like a bigger Stratios- it has to be more unique- and having it at the front definitely fits the bill for me. It looks like the ring is pulling the rest of the ship along with it, and I like that a lotBig smile

what if... it gets a deployed modual like the roqual.. and transforms into a mobile POS or something with the ring at the bottom and the flat wingy bit at the top spinning around

Pretty slick! Could we see this version with the original full oval rear wing as well (just rotate it 90° so it's longer on the horizontal axis). Any chance we could also see the reverse? ie: original CCP circular wing on the front and the arc wing at the back.

I am partial to the one with out the ring.

The proposed SOE Battleship looks odd to say the least, I am surprised they didn't bother using/ looking at some of the Contest Art for "different" designs
