i have read everything i can find on pi but i seem to be having a problem with lost product here is my setup

i have 1 spaceport surrounded by 6 hi-tech factories, i import 210 resources for each input, i setup all my routes and submit.

As soon as production starts i should lose 36 resources from each input 6*6 = 36 which would mean i have 174 of each input left at the starport, but i only have 138 of each input left is there something i am missing or is this a bug, this is repeatable i have done this 3 times in a row with the same results

Factories have a buffer which stores products for the next cycle. So when importing every factory gets 12 units instead of 6. 6 are used instantly, the other 6 are waiting until the cycle is over.

there must be a siphon unit on the POCO

Just joking. TigerXtrm is correct in that there is a buffer.

Ah did not know that and i makes sense but i also ended up 6 units short on my final production last time. unless i made a mistake will look at my final numbers on my current run i should end up with 35 units

This buffer is also reflected visually - a factory has a darker orange ring if the buffer is empty, and a brighter ring - or partial ring - if it's buffered fully or partly, respectively

The buffer will hold any volume from 1% to 99% so it is a good idea to always drop the appropriate amounts or your final results may vary.
