Decrease amount of patches to maximum one per week

The situation with client patches and updates is quite terrible at the moment.

They go on one after another almost each day now, it seems like every minor fix follows by immediate patch.

Each update installation takes on average 5 to 10 minutes, which is also quite annoying when you are logging in for ongoing battle but have to wait while yet another patch is installed.

I don't want to tell CCP how to do their job, but It looks as if their developers don't spend too much effort for testing, thinking that "whatever, we can always make another patch ".

I suggest reducing patches / updates amount to no more than one per week unless it's some super-urgent issue that needs to be fixed.

Um no. If theres a problem then they should fix it. It does not take 5-10 minutes. Patching usually takes me 1-3 mins.

If it takes 5-10 minutes to install micro-patches then I don't think the problem here lies with CCP.

Issues need to be fixed quickly before they cause problems and/or lead to exploits.

Absolutely not supported.

Has your alliance gotten their stuff back from R3P0-Z yet? Maybe that's a better use of your time than this thread.

So you prefer they keep exploits and serious bugs running for an extra week just because of a 10 minutes inconvenience?

My client usually patches in the time it takes to select my account and type in my password.

And you could bet that the absolute majority of these small patches are fixing that type of stuff. Of course they try to use the opportunity to squeeze a few more goodies along.

that 5-10 minutes thing seems to be a personal problem, not something CCP has anything to do with. And some bugs may not be a big issue for you but someone else is probably losing out a lot.

I suggest getting a better internet connection, or pausing your pornography downloads while EVE is patching.

If being late to fleet battles is an issue because of your slow download speed, just run the launcher at any point after downtime. It will download and patch in the background, you don't even have to log in.

Stop being late to your alliance battles.

Also, get a better internet connection.
