Can we please manually change the direction of our targets?

This is killing me.
Moving the targets to the right half of the screen forces them into a leftwards direction. Moving the targets to the left half of the screen forces them into a rightwards direction.

Can we please get an option to switch to the direction of our choosing? In it's current state the vast majority of the interface can be setup entirely to the users choosing; this should not be any different.
