Don't change how they work.

all you need to do is

Just hurry up and make smuggling a valid profession, there's no need to fix something that's not broken.

All automated intel should be removed from the game including Instant local/jumps/kills/cynos for all systems/regions.Eve should report nothing like this to the client/3rd party software.Intel should not be force fed to players. Player skill and iniative should be the sources of intel.

no if it dosen't have side effects it will end up like thos stupid flasks everyone in that one mmo had to use

you ether got them or got left out it becomes mandatory

Oh so true, some side effects should remain. As soon as an advantage without drawbacks is there to be had then it will become a universal requirement and the MMO scene is littered with examples of just that.

What motivated CCP to make this change, especially with the hindsight of what occurs with them in other games.

Nex (Cash Shop) / Aurum - removing sand from the sandbox since Incarna. Currently the only use for aurum is to buy virtual items in the in-game store, but Cockerill expects to expand its uses in the future.

I'd like to point out as far as I know CCP didn't tell us there are no side effects yet, sure people read that on SISI, but really who tells you teh side effects of a drug when you start taking them?

Vastly increase the areas the drug sites are found in.

Can't wait to dual box my Dust toon and EVE toon on the same machine!

Maybe they just want to increase demand so smuggling can become a viable profession .... Just saying.

there's no demand because there's no way to get them reliably in high-sec, there's ways but there all most exploits

So 5% implants and Pirate Sets are mandatory in PvP? That's news to me. Cost is a penalty to using boosters. That said, removing side effects does not strike me as wise, though it will increase usage if there's a reliable way to get them to markets.

its all about price range, if pirate sets and 5% where only 5 or 6 mill yea they would be standard and required by many

Are implying that there is a thriving market in lowsec ... where?

^This^

For the most part I just don't see how boosters are broken at all. Also I don't remember anyone complaining about them, its just not a point of contention. Ladar sites profitability could be higher, as it is now they are generally not worth running. We do NOT want a "potion" in the game, It's important to keep baseline ship fits competitive and allow for boosters to simply expand the variability and not the status quo.

You can buy most ships and modules in lowsec hubs like Huola but i rarely see any boosters. Maybe they are used a lot but people just keep them for themselves. Though to me, it looks like boosters could use a boost :)

This will get an isk sink. Good design to take cash out of the game.

Check Faction warfare hubs, Heydieles, Huola and such. You can find anything there and generally cheaper than in nearby highsec, though you're most likely to get ganked on the undock.

MMOs come and go, but Eve remains.  -Garresh-
