Villore to old man star is usually camped by 3 guys in tech 3s, anytime you try to fight them with equal force they just jump into villore and dock, they have 0 losses, and about 60 kills from doing this. I don't think its unfair to say that pirates have it easy when it comes to farming isk.

As with so many things in EVE, it's only as easy as the other guy makes it.

This is typical high-sec gameplay, made viable just by the specifics HS "protection" mechanics.

Some people like cleaning toilets while others like gate camping.

Have you considered going around old man star? I know it takes a few more jumps but you can go around old man star or even through it, via different gates. Use the map.

When I used to be in fac war, the solution to avoiding Old man star camp was to go, Allamotte to Ladistier and get into OMS that way. The Route was rarely camped and generally low traffic compared to the Villore/ OMS gate. This was a while ago mind.

Good luck popping probably brick-tanked TIIIs in 60 seconds minus however long it takes you to light a cyno, bridge, jump, and load grid.

While I can surely not speak of the gentlemen that serve this particular gate, the matter is - well known to most of you - not entirely unfamiliar to the entrepreneurs of TunDraGon. While cleaning a public toilet is a dirty work, it bares a high social additional value - much like "gate-camping".
We pretty much do the society of New Eden a favor by extending the education of new capsuleers beyond the borders of high sec. Yes - I dare to say - our selfless acts of charity are the reason a lot of people turn to pvp in the first place! The ones that eventually burst in anger and tears were not to be saved in the first place.....(sigh)
So do not judge the good people of Villore and Old man star - they are doing it for you all out there!

you could always "bribe" them to let you by. I am sure that would work!

Your failure is that you're thinking in terms of isk instead of enjoyment. Typical carebear mistake. Kills are enjoyable, losses are not.

Or have them become Criminal by sending in anything, really, and not trying to warp your pod out. Then decloak/warp in/jump in the tackle and enjoy them either dying to your gang or jumping into highsec and getting CONCORDOKKEN'd.

This should be in the CaP forum.

Has anyone seen Doc Fury around lately? This is normally his job. :/
