Entering Bastion makes you immune from EW

Does vamps / neuts count as EW?

As far as i know Ewar actions are tracking disruption, target painting, sensor dampening and ecm.

So no immunity to being neuted in PvE or PvP.

You forgot webs, warp disruptors and scramblers.

I forget the exact terminology, but bear with me:

Neuts, scrams/points, webs are primary ewar. TD, TP, ECM, and damps are secondary ewar. Bastion makes you immune to secondary ewar.

There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency.

Those are moot, since using the Bastion immobilises you anyway,

Neuts and Vamps are Engeneering Modules and are not classified as EWAR, thus are not affected by Bastion.

Simple answer is vamps and neuts can still be used on you while you are in bastion.

It is not a matter of are they ewar or not. The real question is are they remote effect modules and if they are the wording under the bastion modules description is confusing.

"This results in a greatly increased rate of defensive self-sustenance and a boost to the ship's overall damage resistances. It also extends the reach of all the vessel's weapon systems, allowing it to engage targets at farther ranges. Due to the ionic field created by the bastion module, all remote effects - from friend or foe both - will not affect the ship while in bastion mode."

So this wording should be changed so as not to confuse people.

Something like with the exception of vamps and neuts would help.

So much for the incursion spider tanking thoughts.. Bastion stops all remotes from friendly, if I read that right?

Was just Neuted by Blood npcs in a mission in my Bastion'ed Kronos.

Bastion appears to stop: Webs, Disruptors/Scrams, Tracking Disruptors, Damps, ECM, and Painters.

It does NOT stop Neutralizers as far as I can tell. I would guess that it therefore also doesn't stop Nos.

It looks like whatever you fit in mid slots: td, web, disruptor, tp, ecm, etc. are countered by bastion.

Whatever you fit in high slot: nos, neut, are not countered by bastion.

Nos/neuts are 'capacitor warfare' and are not classed as EWAR, consider bastion mode to be like a dread's siege module. You are immune to ewar, but you can sill be pointed by a HIC whilst in bastion mode, and you can still be neuted.

Remote assistance modules including tracking links, remote sensor boosters and remote eccm, and shield/armor/cap xfers are all 'remote assistance' based modules, and will not work either.

Hope this helps,

Simple answer: everything that is under "Electronic Warfare" section on market is EWAR (neuts are not there) and bastion prevents those. Plus all targeted friendly modules (reps, remote sebos).

Not moot at ALL. Because you cannot scram the ship and pay attention on the rest of battlefield so that when it leaves bastion it cannot wrap.

Would be incredibly daft to not be able to realize that...

So you wait until one of these MJD Mission Marauders leaves Bastion and they are pretty much glass cannons with paper defense? I figure they are not worried about defense and more about DPS to do the missions quicker.
